Hey All-

I just wanted to say thanks for the idea for the flavored tea bags. I hadn't even thought of that.

Also I wanted to make mention of wonderful little packets in the tuna fish section at the grocery store. They are called tuna creations and Albacore creations. There are several of the tuna (watch out some have 3 grams of fat per serving and the whole little pouch has 2.5 servings), but the Albacore has only 0.5 grams of fat per serving. I have been tossing these with baby spinach and dash of lite dressing and they are wonderful!

For Breakfast I had the Garlic and Herb tuna creation with a cup of baby spinach, a dash of light italian dressing, and a strawberry.< /p>

Wishing you all a low carb day!!!!

I love the sweet and spicy tuna and the mango chipotle salmon. The smoked tuna makes a good dip.

10:15 B/1c Cantaloupe (60 cal), 100 cal pre packaged snack

1:15 L/Teriyaki chkn, 4 carrot slices, 1 celery cut up & cream cheese and pb added (1t of ea.)

2:15 s/100 cal Little Debbie chocolate cake

8:30 D/flr tortilla, 6 slice deli ham, chipotle BBQ Sauce (2 T), 1T Blue Cheese, 15 corn tortilla chips w/1oz cheddar cheese, 100 cal Little Debbie chocolate cake

Water: 60oz 2% Milk: 32oz

I had been craving chocolate and the Little Debbies did the trick.

I need to keep it to one a day. Or I need to make my own.

I found a recipe on another site for soda cake. I made cupcakes, added 3 carob chocolate chips to them and it was wonderful, everyone loved them.

So if I make a box cake & add only a diet soda, then there is only the calories left from the mix itself and if I add 3 carob chocolate chips (estimated 1 cal per chip) that would be added to the calorie count too. With the one box I have here (Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devil's food cupcake) that would make my cupcakes 83 in total calories.

So yes I can make this myself  Oh I'm in seventh heaven now!!

I should be able to freeze these (freeze for a day and then vacum seal the next and then back to the freezer)

Question: you use a box cake mix and diet soda only (and the carob chocolate chips)? No eggs or oil? How much diet soda?

I saw this recipe a while back. If you google weight watchers diet soda cake, several versions come up. They all call for an entire 12 oz can of soda. I understand that the cake comes out a little more like brownies than cake. One version I saw added 2 egg whites to the mixture and it was said to be lighter in texture. I have been thinking about trying it for some time because I LOVE chocolate cake. My coworker tried it with lemon cake and put in diet Sprite. He said it was really tasty, but just a tad sweeter than the cake would have been without the soda.

Thanks slim! I will check that out. I think Duncan Hines and Pillsbury makes a reduced sugar cake mix also.

I hadn't even thought of using the reduced sugar cake! I need to check my grocer to see if they actually sell any of them. Either way, I think I will try that this weekend. I saw several interesting combos of different flavors of cake with different flavors of diet soda. I think it could turn out to be really good.

At my local grocery store, they are mixed in with the regular cake mixes. I used the reduced sugar cake mix for some Protein muffins that Macmadame posted a while back. Let me know how it turns out!

Ok, here goes with the results. I used lemon cake mix with sprite. It doesn't rise as much as it would with the eggs and oil. The texture is more dense. It isn't quite brownie texture, but it isn't regular cake texture either. The taste is good. I would say it is sweeter than regular cake mix alone. I don't usually frost my cakes, so that works out. My almost teenage son likes it. My very picky husband likes it too. I would make it again.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
