I don't have the "poop" (happy about that) ;) medicine either! I guess all surgeons have different plans!!!

I do have the medicine... but I think I was wrong yesterday today is the night before the night before... ha ha...can't keep myself straight... I did real good on the diet I didn't cheat at all. Tomorrow I go in for my mammogram and my yearly.. they were just about due and I was able to get them scheduled for the day before surgery. did not think the mammogram would be too comfortable to do afterwards....then I am going to go get my hair done and a pedicure... then pick my sons early from school so I can start drinking the lovely medicine... I figured no way was I going to be waiting for the kids away from the house and then oh man where is a bathroom.... I wish everyone this week the best of luck and hopefully we all come thru this with all of our dreams just starting to be realized.

That's funny! Until like Friday I was sure my surgery was Wednesday (but still the 26th) every time my husband I even talked about planning for the week we wound up hugely frustrated and annoyed with each other.

I am due at Admitting at 9:30 tomorrow morning. I'm scheduled for 11:45 but I imagine since I'm not first up it could be almost anytime in early afternoon.

I am generally pretty OK with the surgery itself. I only had to liquid diet yesterday and today and yesterday morning my slight hunger and excitement were making lovely butterflies in my stomach and I felt almost high. Then the PEG 3350 (or "poop" medicine) sort of ruined that! Now I keep having waves of "This is crazy!" but still no worries over the surgery itself which is either confidence or lack of insight. Eh, I'll take it.

wow, I just can't imagine how I'm going to feel the night before. I'm scheduled at 11:30am, 2nd Case. You have my prayers. Can't wait to read your updates.

Thanks for well wishes. All went well! I just had my first walk around. ( weird, I had to ask! A few times.). I was pretty miserable on my back not able to move.

@alilove2631... So glad to hear that everything went well. Are you able to drink any Water, Protein or broth? I am glad that you are up walking around.

Yeah the best parts so far have been being able to walk to the bathroom but hurts like hell when I get up or sit down. My surgery went well though. I'm sad I can't drink anything until I get out of the hospital tomorrow

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
