Yes I think about that the surgery & I am nervous. I have had something similiar 20 years ago and it was not bad. But I do dream about it. I am waiting for a date. GOOD LUCK, please come back & tell us about it.

hello JudiM,

dmorris72, did they tell you if you could take gasex or anything? I am very worried about the gas part of it......when I had my c-sections, the gas that got trapped inside sucked....that makes me the most nervous about all of this.

Not sure if I posted BTW, but my surgery date is Aug. 20th! YIPPEE

Yes, I am taking maaloxx.. milk of magnesia... whatever works... I have not found one that works yet. They told me to take the milk of magnesia but I think either I have taken to much or not sure cause its acting as a laxative.. oh yea.. lot of fun here...

Hi there!

My name is Melissa and I am very excited to say that after 3 years of deliberation, I am scheduled to have my surgery on August 22. I am having my suregery done through Kaiser in Freemont, CA. I look forward to getting my ticker started.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hang in there dmorris72, are things starting to feel better now, I hope so, it has been a few more days? I was told yesterday to start my preop diet on Monday so of course I am trying not to go too hog wild right now. Nothing for a week but carnation instant breakfast....watch out, I am gonna be cranky...lol

I am waiting for my date & I have been trying to liguid atleast 3 days a week, just so I know how it is going to be. I am cranky. I am worried about the gas pain after, but if that is all the pain we have, we are lucky. I lost 8 more pounds too.

Good Luck,

Marilyn

My date is the 20th and I agree with what others have said. I am scared, nervous, excited..... lots of emotions!!! I am 5'3 307, and 39 years old on Sept 4. I am having problems with emotional eating, craving foods I have not eaten in months and months. I try not to let those cravings get the best of me, but it is not easy!!!
