Anyone break the 3 week stall yet? I'm getting annoyed!

I'm still on a stall! :( even with exercise and getting at the most 900 calories a day

Same! I'm struggling to eat more than 750 calories but I'm getting my Protein in. Exercising a lot too! It just doesn't make sense :(

Yea this sucks. I've been reading that it's your body adjusting to such a low calorie intake but c'mon how long is this going to take! I guess we just have to be patient. I'm not very good at that lol. I do however notice a difference in the mirror. I should be taking measurements maybe that would make me feel better

I can see that a lot of people are getting discouraged because right now they are not losing the weight that they want to or feel that they should. I will tell you something that was told to me and this is not just about weight loss but life in general, this too shall pass and don't get discouraged. I have not yet weighed myself so I don't know if I am stalled myself but I do know that in the past the simple fact of getting discouraged has lead me to fall off other diets and food plans. The other thing we all need to realize is that the way we are eating is most likely going to be how we do it for the rest of our lives and it is scary, I know for a fact that it scares me. I cannot imagine not having a small bag of something ever again but if I want my surgery and weight loss to last that is what I have to do.

My doctor said the first 6 weeks it comes off slow as our body adjusts, and tries to figure things out. Plus we have internal swelling. I've been at the same weight for over a week now.

Surgery weight:258

Current weight:235

Goal weight:135

Total loss 23lbs

I'm 5'2

In the stall and having real problems transitioning to soft foods. Either I'm getting to big a portion size or eating to fast, I just can't figure it out. Now I'm scared to eat any real food. Threw up last night, figured I hit my limit...but went past mentally... Maybe I need to not eat at the table with my family.. I don't know, need more ways to figure this out? Any one else having mental issues and eating to much?

Sorry to hear you got sick Craig. Maybe have the family start eating while you are preparing your dinner. That way you're in the kitchen with them and by the time your meal is ready hopefully they will be close to finishing. You aren't at the table for any extended period of time watching them eat while you sit. Are you measuring out your portions? Just a suggestion.

Ok. I've been grouchy and negative and whining about my stall so I just had to post something positive: it dawned on me today that I no longer am having ANY food cravings. I literally eat because it's time to...not because it tastes good or cheers me up or any other reason. The sight of cake nearly made me vomit yesterday at work when someone brought one in. As hard as this whole experience has been so far ...I am SOOOOO glad I made this decision. My clothes are falling off me, I chased my daughter around at the park for an hour tonight (I even went down the slides without worrying about my size) and I feel like I have control over things for the first time ever.

thanks gracy, I went out today and bought smallest bowls I could find and a handful of baby spoons and forks. Going to try the smaller bowl for awareness and the small utensils for speed control.. Give some physical form to my mental pictures of what I need to do. See how this goes..

That's so great! I have been taking walks with my kids after dinner and it feels so good to keep a fast pace! They like to take turns with my 5 lb dumbbells its so cute! They keep me motivated big time. I definitely feel the same way.. best decision of my life. I'm excited to order my scrubs and not have to get the extra XX for the school year! :)

I to am in a stall and I am taking my own advice. Part of me wants to transfer off pureed foods and I do a little of solids later in the day, but I am still stuck at 271 and for me unfortunately my craving are coming back but I also find that I am craving more healthier items. My biggest concern is about regaining the weight I lose and also throwing up, have not thrown up yet but have had a few close calls. Just wanted to know is anyone having Constipation and what are you doing about it?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
