What are your favorite Quest Nutrition products?

Recommended Posts

I've seen Quest bars, quest chips, quest everything mentioned here and on IG. I'm thinking of buying some of their products, especially the Protein Bars. But they have like 174947282937 flavors lol so I was hoping i could learn from you guys on which of their products were worth buying and which weren't?

Thanks in advance! :)

I have eaten a Quest bar everyday since surgery! I'm in love with these bars. I like the chewy texture and they make me feel like i'm cheating. lol By far my favorite is the vanilla Almond. The banana nut one is awesome warmed up for like 8 seconds in the microwave. The Cookies and cream is pretty good. The smore's is soooooo sweet that I really don't care that much for them and i'm a sweet eater bah leeve me! I like the Peanut Butter and jelly one too! even though it sounds kinda weird. You are just gonna have to try em out and see what you like. I haven't tried any of their other products yet.

I haven't tried any of their other products, but Quest bars are my go to Breakfast. Double chocolate chunk is my current favorite.

Quest was having a free bar giveaway a few weeks ago. Check to see if that is still on. Otherwise, buy one of their variety packs. Everyone seems to have their own (strong) opinions about the bars. You'll have to taste them for yourself.

Thanks so much everyone! I was planning on trying some, but wanted to see what the general consensus was to weed out flavors that majority didn't seem like. the variety pack is a great idea, i didn't see that! Thanks! :)

Love most of them but my favorites are Choc brownie, vanilla almond, Apple pie and double choc chunk.

Only ones I don't like are Peanut Butter Choc (it's fine but I can't taste any peanut butter!) and banana nut

I've tried Cinnamon Roll and strawberry Cheesecake. They were awful. chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is delightful! Big chunks of chocolate and it's not too sweet.

chocolate chip cookie dough is my addiction! The taste and texture are really great and it feels like a naughty treat. I also enjoy the cinnamon roll flavor warmed up for a few seconds in the microwave.

Right now Groupon has a box of 12 Quest bars for $24.99 with free shipping. And if you shop through ebates you get 6% ($1.50) back per box. There is a limit of 5 boxes per customer.

The hardest thing with Quest Bars is limiting myself to just one a day.

I actually prefer the non chocolate flavors..... Banana nut muffin, berry bliss, apple pie, vanilla almond, and coconut cashew are my favs.

I'm pretty sure it's the regular diet stage. I could be wrong though maybe ask your NUT just to clarify

Are you pre or post surgery? Be aware that your taste buds may completely change post surgery! Don't buy too much ahead of time or it may end up in your cubbord uneaten. I can't stand anything chocolate (except real chocolate, of course!) post surgery. So any Quest bar with chocolate makes me want to gag. My favorite quest bar at the moment is the Apple pie flavor. Do you have a GNC near you? That's the easiest/cheapest way to try out single flavors you will like as the variety pack doesn't offer all that are available. If you purchase the GNC membership (($15/year $20/two years) their price per box is lower than Amazon or anything I've been able to find online. You don't pay tax because its food and wont have to pay shipping costs.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
