My name is Lisa and I am looking for anyone that lives in Arkansas that has had LapBand surgery and did they have it done in the US or Mexico. I am looking at going to Mexico to Dr. Aceves. Has anyone had any experiences with this Dr? Where are you Arkansas's getting your after care , such as fills etc or if any complications have come up? Hi, I'm not military either. I'm originally from here but lived away for 13 years & just moved back. I've got plans tomorrow. Hubby works late & isn't home until 8:30 so I may have to bow out of a meeting. :thumbdown:

Well, I go away for a few months and look what happens - everyone in Arkansas gets banded without telling me! Wow, I can't believe how many people are posting here now, I'm going to have to come visit more often!

I was banded by Dr. Gibbs, btw, and I really like him and his nurse - they take good care of me.

...yeah but we started talking about exercise and it died!!! lol..

i'm still up for exercise buddies if anyone else is...

just wondering how the loss is coming.......im hoping to have the band done after the first of the year,..........using Dr. WEllborn also....he and I go way back.

Im just wondering what is happening to folks when they come in and announce that they had surgery,,,,,then poof, no more posts....are folks falling out like flies? Are they not losing? Too sick to type???? Oh me, i am on my way to the world of Bandism......I need more updates and pics, and wonderful words of encouragement......Go HOGS!

I'm still here...and encourage anyone thinking about the lap band...I may not be loosing at a fast rate as some, but I'm doing ok otherwise. I haven't updated my ticker but I'm down 47 lbs & Sept 5th will be my 6th month anniversary. I've had 4 fills and this 4th one is the first time I've actually felt the band work like I was told it would.

My schedule is a bit crazy with two boys so I am not available to exercise with y'all...my hubby doesn't get home until late so I'd have to bring boys in tow...I get enough exercise just chasing them in the backyard and my house, let alone around a track or somewhere else. If my home life changes, I will have to get involved with a walk group such as you local ladies.

I hope this finds all doing well & loosing big!

Hi everyone. I have not been on for awhile. My computer crashed at home. Hopefully it will be up and running by this weekend. I am up to 6cc and let me tell you, it will make you think twice about what you eat. It hurts if you make a mistake! I have not lost very much, but I did eat cake this weekend.

I have a bundle of relates in Star City.... My aunt Leo West just passed away. I was down for the funeral

How was the Luttrell experience? I went to his seminar... but i do believe i will use Wellborn for the surgery,. Just because he and I go way back..to the 80's.

Please let me hear about your success. I plan to be banded after the first of the year, this is when i will have the opportunity to change insurances,,,,,and the new one will pay.

Well it is a life changing experience. At first I thought I would die of hunger. Things are much better now. I went also to Dr. Wellborn's seminar. I really like Dr. Lutrell he is really great and i did not have a long wait to have my surgery. Once my insurance approved me it took only two weeks to have it done. The whole process was maybe a month or less.

Does anybody know when the hairloss will stop? I am so tired of washing my hair and it falling out. It is not much, but it is a pain. :crying:
