WOW!..I just got a email with someone answering my post that I posted back in 07!!..lol..I had forgotten about this post. BUUTTT..to update my status, I ended up going to Mexicali and having Dr. Aceves do my surgery. LOVED the man. I had great success. Its been well over 4 yrs since my surgery and have kept the weight off. My insurance would not pay for the surgery and thats why I went to Mexicalli. Highly recommend if you cant afford it here in the states. My total cost for surgery with flight and hotel expense..EVERYTHING was 9,000. Free refills for life. Had 2 refills and at my sweet spot. Kat, Its been a yr since you have had your surgery by Dr Aceves. How has it been going and have you had to contact his staff much and are they still getting back with you on a timely manner. I am very much considering having him do my LapBand surgery. Any information is greatly appreciated. LisaR

Hi, My name is Lisa and I am looking for anyone that lives in Arkansas that has had LapBand surgery and did they have it done in the US or Mexico. I am looking at going to Mexico to Dr. Aceves. Has anyone had any experiences with this Dr? Where are you Arkansas's getting your after care , such as fills etc or if any complications have come up? I too am 203 and height of 5'4 1/2...not sure if I will qualify but I am so sick of dieting and being over weight. I may not look as obese as some that are more unfortunate than I but I feel every bit of 500 pds mentally than someone that is that weight. I want the Lap band surgery very much and I am checking out prices and places that I could go. This will be a all out of pocket expense as my insurance does not pay for this surgery.
