Since surgery and even before, while on the 1200 calorie and 2-day liquid pre-op diet, I have had extremely thick and frothy saliva and a sickly sweet taste in my mouth.
I had surgery on February 25, 2015. No complications. Was on full liquids for two weeks and just moved on to pureed foods as of March 11. For Protein I use Muscle Milk chocolate, J-Robb vanilla, and Isopure clear Grape. Other protein comes from yogurt and cottage cheese.
Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, has a doctor told you what it might be?
