The best HEALTHY Dessert gadget I think you'll LOVE!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I've been meaning to share this for awhile but with the cold weather I've not been using it as much. My favorite kitchen gadget since VSG surgery for a "dessert" has to be the "Dessert Bullet" ! I purchased this before my surgery off of a recommendation from a veteran VSGer. If you've never seen or used one all you do is add fresh frozen fruit in the top and it comes out a ice cream consistency! You don't need any other ingredients. It's amazing! My kids LOVE it. My daughter likes to freeze yogurt and adds it into the mix. You can do all kinds of variations. The best part is you know exactly what's going in and coming out so its easy to track. Of course you will have to be at the stage where you are allowed fruit and fruit still has natural sugars so you shouldn't go wild :) We always use the No sugar added frozen fruit and bananas make it even more creamy. We like to use the over ripe banana (cut them up and freeze them). Anyway I just thought I would share a product I love and am grateful I found especially with summer just around the corner!!! PS: The picture is just the frozen dole fruit I didn't add any banana so its more of a sherbet texture. Play around with it and have fun! I bought mine at Walmart and I think I paid around 40 bucks for it? I'm sure you can find it on Amazon ect..

Thanks for the tip!! I've also found that when I want a chocolate fix the Cocoa Roasted Almonds from Emerald are awesome, no sugar, and satisfying. They come in 100 calorie packets too, so, you don't have to worry about portions. Also, an occasional Swiss Miss Diet Hot Cocoa is good -- I add a 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of unsweetened Special Dark Cocoa powder to it (under 5 calories). (You can add that Cocoa powder to other things for a little chocolate zip.)

Oh, we are going to have some VERY happy, tiny tummies! You know, I NEVER used to look forward to summer before, always too hot for me, and especially not looking forward to always having to cover up my not-so-great looking legs/arms, but now after WLS, the weight loss, having yummy but portion-controlled treats, and great support from BP, summer looks better than ever! Bring it on!

I do fruit like that in the summer. I just have a regular nutra bullet so it needs to sit in the freezer for a bit to firm back up. I plan to upgrade to a nicer popsicle mold this summer and play with new fruit combinations.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
