Still carrying a lot of abdominal weight

I have always carried a LOT of my weight in front, and used to be asked all the time 'when are you due'. i am feeling really good and down almost 70 lbs, 7 months out.

i am still frustrated because even though it's a LOT less than it was, there is still a lot of belly fat on me. i have lost everywhere, including my belly, but it's still quite visable. it's not just skin either, there is still a solid spare tire there.

any suggestions? i am seeing the surgeon soon and going to see if he has any suggestions. i have only about 20 lbs to go until my personal goal. thanks!

I've always carried my weight in my hips and thighs, and that didn't change. My shape stayed proportionately the same. I don't think there is anything to be done about that, short of plastic surgery.

You can try exercises designed to target those areas, but there's no guarantee that will work.

There's a guarantee it WON'T work. Exercised targeting specific areas can help tone muscles in those areas, but they won't reduce fat. If you carry weight in your stomach and do 1000 crunches a day, all you end up with is very strong abs with a layer of fat.

I am wondering the same. I have always had more weight on love handles than belly.
