It took me nearly all day to get one liter of Fluid down(minus about a 1/4 cup I gave to my dog in the car from class, my mother drives me since I'm still newly sleeved)

I fear becoming dehydrated and was pretty close yesterday getting in about a liter and a half but today my goal was 2 liters!

At about 7pm I started freaking out I wasn't going to make it but I pushed through and can almost guarantee I will make my goal today! So HAPPY!

It's definitely been harder to get in Fluid than I expected!

It surprised me too how difficult it was. Hang in there it does get better. Set a timer if you need to. I switched to straws (against the common advice) after a trip to the ER for dehydration about 2 weeks out - it helped immensely! Good luck! It gets better!

I like the Water bottles with the sport tops... I find it helps if I can just squeeze it in.

I was sleeved on Tuesday and I'm having trouble getting in all the water/fluids as well. I think I'm just afraid to drink too much as once? I decided to have my SIL go to the store for me and get those 5oz cups (Dixie Cups that people use in their bathrooms). If I can have one of those each hour in a 12 hour day (say 7-7) then I should be good. With the Protein shakes and SF drinks I should be good! Hopefully that will help!

I was given a 24oz water bottle in the hospital that has a valve on it so you can't take big gulps. I'm trying to get 3 of those in a day! It's harder than I thought it would be!!! Sip! Sip! Sip!!!

It's pretty difficult. I've only been able to drink 64oz daily for the last week or two. Sleeved 12-4-15. I found what has helped is using a big water bottle, I've for a 32oz nalgene and I try and get one finished by lunch time. Also I add lemon or cucumber to it, or do one cup of peach tea and the rest fill with Water. ALSO the biggest help is a timer. I time my Vitamin and food/water, I've literally got 10 alarms and that helps remind me. Dehydration sucks and now that I'm walking more and got more of a schedule down, it helps.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
