I had a hiatal hernia repaired during my VSG (9/16/14) and I still take prescription Pepcid every couple of days, where in the first three months, I took it twice a day or I felt the B-U-R-N! So yes, I still have heartburn, but it is slowly starting to get better.

I had the repair but unfortunately still have to take acid reflux meds. It's been 7 months and I am now just trying to see if I can cope without the daily meds. So far it's coming along ok. I've survived 48 hours.
