I had lovenox shots only in the hospital. I did end up back in the hospital 2 weeks post-op wirh blood clots. So I think taking them after you get home is a good idea. I am almost 6 months outing had to get my gallbladder out last month. I had to be on the lovenox shots for a month after surgery. It does give you some bruises but it doesn't hurt as bad if you let the alcohol dry before you give yourself the shot

No, I only had them during my two days in the hospital post-op. I have never had problems with blood clots before so there was no reason to stay on them at the tim. Thinking back that is probably why it was two weeks post-op that I went back in the hospital.

I am Triwest. I had to have 3 documented doctor apts for weight lose. I am in Tricare Prime and the nutritionist visits are covered. I had my sleeve done May 24, 2016. Two weeks post op I ended up with a blood clot in my portal vein, intestine and two in my lungs. Luckily for me I do not have to be seen on base because they wouldn't have caught the clots. Anyway just last week I had to have my gallbladder out because of so much weight lose. I am will be 5 months out Monday and will be 70lbs down! Surgery even with the complications has been the best thing I have ever done. All of my care has been done at the local hospital here in Boise ID and I have yet to pay even a dollar. Yes, it is blood thinners. I had two in my lungs, one in my portal vein and one in my intestines. I was admitted two weeks post-op with the blood clots but looking back on it I should have gone to the ER much sooner. I thought the pain in my chest was gas. It was the portal vein pain that sent me to the ER because it was cutting blood off to my liver.

It's a good thing they are checking for you. I am sure you will do just fine and the fix will be uneventful. When I went to the ER last week for my gallbladder I felt so defeated. Four months post-op and this is second hospital stay! Although losing 65lbs it is worth it. Hopefully getting Thai gallbladder out I will be drama free for a while????

@@summerset did you get a hernia repair? I had horrible Gerd prior to surgery not even a slight sing of heartburn since. My husband catastrophizes everything! Are you taking anything daily for Gerd? I have but he told me I have to stay on the meds because of ulcers.

My energy level has been so food! I don't need naps anymore! Now I do still require 7-8 hours of sleep each night but I am able to make it through the day without feeling so drained.

I am losing a little hair to. Not too bad. I am the only one that notices.

So month 4 and I am down 60lbs! Unfortunately I now need to get my gallbladder out. Seems I can't catch a break! Although skinny is feeling sooo good! How is everyone else doing?

I wish Tylenol would touch this headache! I remember seeing a list of over the counter meds that are okay...I will search for that. Advil is on the do not take list according to my doctor.

I would like to know the same thing! I am suffering from a terrible headache.

I am feeling very good! I am down 45lbs since surgery...I was really hoping to hit the 50 mark at three months but don't think that is going to happen. I defiantly have a lot more energy. We went hiking on the Oregon Trail today and I rocked the 180 degree incline. People at work are noticing my weight lose. I didn't tell everyone but I have had several compliments on looking healthy lol. They k ow something is different about me but can't put their finger on it. Pup that is awesome that you are already in a size 7! I don't know if I will ever get that far down! I am down to a size 18 from 22 so not where I want to be but defiantly a start!

It wasn't longer than a few days. I don't remember missing work so it couldn't have lasted that long.

I have had my Mirana for 3 years and love it! I do remember some discomfort after it was placed. I really never have a period except after this surgery and after I went on blood thinners after my blood clots.

Going on base is a completely different reqirment. Base does not go through Tricare for payment. You will just be required to adhere to your surgeons requirements. I am in Tricare prime and didn't pay any type of co-pay....although my husband is still active duty.
