Has anyone been able to handle regular coffee? I am about over the decaf.

Yes! I drink a cup of regular coffee every morning. It's been fine. I do drink mine with creamer, though, and I use a coffee/chicory mixture that's less acidic, so I'm sure that helps. But it's been fine...and not to be all TMI'y but it also really helps with that constipation issue. ;)

I am glad you were "TMI" that has been a real problem. Thanks so much!

I love my morning cup of coffee. Important to not do coffee until you are meeting your daily liquids goals because it is a diuretic and can worsen the issue. But once you are drinking enough, coffee, within limitations, is great.

For scars including stretch marks, the silicone strips work magic. I'm also planning on dermarolling them away when they are ready.

What are silicone strips!!? Do share... And dermarolling?

@@Veronica Page - I will start branching out to make my own. I can't keep not getting my required amounts in! I'm opposite from you. Warm is so good and cold? OUCH! Funny how we differ from person to person.

Hey people who keep under 30 carbs per day, could I get a sample menu of what you eat in a day and stay that low on ?

Does anybody know if we can have protein smoothies. These have a little more sugar and carbohydrates but I am not sure if I still need to follow the Preop diet protein shake or if I can have some sugar and carbohydrates. I am on soft foods now and Thursday will be 3 weeks since I had surgery.

Ugh so I decided to wait a week to weigh myself and have gained a pound. I'm kinda bum and hoping it is a water retention thing or just having an off moment. I will wait an additional week with fingers crossed that it is nothing. I'm also def not ready for solid foods. I ate some egg yesterday and it did not stay down so I guess I'm stuck on the pureed foods for a lil longer. Its ok I have been making some really great soups!

I've never heard of chicory being less acidic. Just makes for cheaper coffee as I recall from my New Orleans days. Are you from down south? Is that why you drink it?

@mcduffield You can get the strips from any pharmacy store like CVS, Wal-Mart, Smith's. They're a little pricey at $20 but last awhile. They're highly effective at scar reduction. Dermarolling uses a roller of tiny needles to superficially penetrate the skin. Not deep enough to bleed but will create micro punctures to allow for skin repair mechanisms (increased collagen, elastin, keratin production) to heal the area. Vanishes surface scarring like stretch marks, acne scars, age spots, cuts, etc. Will clear anything the strips can't fix.
