I was just thinking about this. My resolutions year after year have been to lose weight, get healthy, etc. This year I decided not to make a resolution and stick to what I'm doing! I had RNY on 9/22, down 53 pounds, exercising six days a week and feeling great. I have 47 pounds to goal, and am filled with hope and optimism! Do what works for you, and may all our healthful dreams come true! ❤️????

I've been giving this some thought too. For years, my goal was always to stick to this or that diet; this or that exercise program because it is the latest thing. And by Feb 1st, if not sooner, my resolutions are out the door, I feel that I've failed again.

So, this year I'm starting off with surgery on Dec 30th. From there I am resolving to take it one day at a time and to do everything in my power to make that day count!

I of course have the daily nutrition goals of drinking Water and getting in our Protein and veggies. Also the daily exercise. If we get all that done in a day, BIG WIN! if not, tomorrow is a brand new day!

I agree with what most of what's been said. All of us having surgery right before or right after New Years have one heck of a way breaking in the new year. One day at a time is the best I can do. I don't want to set any goals until I'm physically and mentally ready.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
