I really wanted to go to Vegas

and wish that I could have gone too! Everything was paid for and I am out about $650........but my husband got sick. I don't know if you all remember when I told you that he had lung cancer. Well he was in the hospital for the last 3 weeks and I just couldn't leave him to go off and have a good time with all of you. I do hope that I will be able to go to the next group outing. I could really use it having to deal with 4 children, a sick husband and a mother in law that the jury is still out on. Otherwise yall can all come to Wisconsin and we can do the Dells!!! I'm glad you all had fun!!!

I was wondering what happened to you. I am sorry to hear about your husband though. I will keep you and he in my prayers. Keep us posted.

Carmen, how is your husband doing now? Sometimes it's hard being the caregiver and everyone is depending on you. Do you have anyone that can give you a little bit of "me time"? Just being able to take a soaking bath without someone banging on the door, climbing in bed and reading a good book until you can peacefully sleep, or perhaps the kids staying overnight so you can "sleep in" on a Saturday, someone else cooking a meal and cleaning up the kitchen, etc. can help "recharge your batteries". Have to admit, I'd love to hear some gossip about the ole mother-in-law, though! LOL Sending (((hugs))), encouragement, and prayers your way!

We all were wondering what had happened to you. I'm sorry ot hear of your husband..I know all to well about cancer ..I feel guilty now, my son is in remission from his cancer and has been extermely sick the last 2 weeks but I went to Vegas :) My hubby would not let me stay home, he was adamant about me getting away and letting loose..I sure hope your husband is doing better ..I will keep him in my prayers.

((hugs to you))

Carmen,

I missed you too and feel bad about your husbands health. It is hard to be a caregiver. I had to take care of my dying blind mother in law last year while my father in law recovered from 5 strokes and an ascending aortic anyuerism. It felt good being able to help them but it was also very scary for me having to deal with all kinds of medical emergencies, decisions and moving into their home temporarily. Now things are back to normal but I know how difficult this all must be for you. I can't even imagine the taking care of 4 kids thing. Best wishes and we'll see you at the next event. Teresa
