Yea! A new board for us January people. Woohoo!

I am very interested in supporting others on this journey and I will need support too. My surgery date is January 6 and I am in California!

Hey, it's you again! You're stalking me in reverse, right? I'm also January 6 and am glad to have a place for January folks to gather.

Hey everyone I'm also January 6 and I live in Texas

Well...I WANT to be January 6th! Does that count? No? dang. (congrats to you though)

Where are you in the process have you finished all your preop stuff

@nairobi78 I have been to the free seminar at the Bariatric COE, I have done my sleep study, and been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, and am compliant with my c-pap. I have just completed my 6 months Dr supervised Diet, where I lost zilch, Now I am awaiting January 2, when my insurance kicks in, I will call and enroll that day in the bariatric program with UHC. What's next?

I have my pre-op this Friday, blood test, upper GI and EKG. Then I meet with the surgeon. I will know then when I need to start the diet. I am excited and nervous. 4 weeks from tomorrow!

January 10th so nervous as its getting closer it's making me rethink this decision ????

Assuming insurance approves i should be the first week in Jan or the middle. Im soo scared they will deny. Its almost been too easy (not literally, but you get the idea.)

@@Dolce_xxv, are you having a serious "rethink this decision" crisis, or just freaking out a little bit because suddenly **** got real? If it's the latter, I totally feel you. Do you want to talk about it more? How can we help?

@@MrsB2007, I went through some last-minute temporary insanity where I was just sure insurance was going to turn me down, but it's all come out right in the end. I saw what you posted elsewhere about being on the cusp and having questions/concerns about not having the "right" comorbidities. I am crossing my fingers for you and look forward to hearing that you're approved and moving ahead.

my surgery is set for Jan 5 in Missouri

Hello, all! I'm scheduled for surgery, gastric bypass, on January 15. Nothing left to do until my pre-op testing day on January 5. My home is in Williamsburg, VA. I'm hoping to meet some folks here to share this journey with.
