Surgery was today at noon. All went well and very little pain. Main thing is very thirsty and not allowed to drink until tomorrow. Going to try and get some sleep now between the 11 pm and 4 am rounds.

Hope your surgery is on time grandma 2 tweeties. Mine was delayed a hour and a half. sleep is good right after surgery and when they get you up to sit in the chair will help get the gas up. Warm drinks help when allowed to.

Made it to the other side. The gas pain was so bad felt like so.eone was sitting on my chest. But other than really bad nausea my stomach is fine. I am sleeping alot. Walked 2 laps so far. How long does the nausea last anyone know? It's the only thing holding me back.

Well I have crossed over to the sleeved size. Went to surgery at 9:30 and was in my room by 1:00. Worst part was waking up with nausea. I told them ahead of time and got the the nausea meds but it didn't work. Sigh, glad that's over. Got discharged at 3:30 today and I'm home. Nothing to eat for the past two days but I'm not hungry. Just going to take it easy and start on the Protein Drinks tomorrow.

Wish I would have thought to take medicines!

Hi Chris same at home and walking. It's really hard having a one year old who's clinging. Thank goodness for grandparents who are helping out. When I saw my little man I broke down in tears because this one reason for me to go through the gastric sleeve procedure. I m taking the meds buts difficult to swallow having to time it right cause it can be painful.

Just wanted to give a quick update. Surgery was over and was back in my room at lunchtime. Had very minimal gas or pain all day long. Was discharged and home at 8pm. Once I was home my belly started feeling a little sore and gas hit. Nothing I can't handle though.

Good luck to those who are getting sleeved today!!!

I had really bad nausea my first day but they gave me a iv of nausea meds and then I felt great.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
