Dec. 15th anyone?

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to get going on this weight loss journey. I feel like I have tried so many other things but with this I feel I can have long term success! I got a bug to get it done and had my first doctor appt. Oct. 17th and it felt like it took forever to get scheduled but it really wasn't very long I guess. I am anxious to get it over with.

Scared of pain, wondering what I will eat. Anyone have any favorite Protein powders? I hear they will be my friend. The only ones I tried in the past were yucky! What about shakes? I like Optifast but they are pricey. Any decent ones out there?

Hoping for some buddies to go through this with me!

Chris.

Mine is December 17

Wow!! I am excited to have so many people so close to my date. Can we keep in touch? I am excited now but will probably start getting nervous...hope to hold off the nerves for awhile.

hey all! This is my first post! But I am scheduled for December 16th! I'm so excited to see some folks close to my date!

Wow how overly exciting we are all within the same day or one day apart. Definitely going through the same things. I'm going to be on 2 week preop full liquid diet. I start on December 2nd. Who else is doing that for preop, I know some do some don't.

I don't have to do a full liquid diet. But, I'll be starting my diet Dec 6th. It's Protein drinks plus some other stuff thrown in like 3oz of fat free ham, turkey or chicken and yogurt or cottage cheese. Can have sugarfree pudding, Jello, popsicles, broth, dill pickles and plain celery, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, and radishes.

Kind of nervous about the pre op diet, I haven't even done well on super prescriptive diets, but I keep telling myself that I can do this...and it's only for 10 days.

December 16th here, too! Lots of people getting sleeved that week it seems. Does anyone want a surgery email/text buddy? I don't check here that often but would love a little support group!

Don't worry you got this the final goal will help us all through it. My liquid diet is for 14 days they call it a Full liquid diet. I'll be on the same diet 2 weeks after surgery. Mine is protein shakes, sugar free jello and pudding, skim milk, broth or bouillon , reduced fat or fat free strained cream soups, sugar free Popsicles and low fat sugar free yogurt

I'd love a text/email buddy! Send me a message on here and we can trade info!

I think a group text would be easiest. I'm December 16 and love the idea or text. How do we handle. That just on here

Congrats noramse
