Oh and Phyl, I saw your post about the Seahawks on a different thread. It was a good thing they wonMonday cause it was the only thing that was keeping me from throwing my shoe across the room. I was grading papers while watching the game. You can check my previous post for reasons behind shoe throwing fit!

Indio I also hate the chewable Centrum or any chewable Vitamin. Yesterday when I went I told the PA that I wasn't taking the Vitamins everyday faithfully because I hate them. She suggested the Gummi kids ones. I told her I had thought of those but was afraid of getting them stuck and she told me to go ahead and try those just make sure I chewed them up really well. I bought them and they are YUMMY!!!!!!!!! Takes like I am getting a treat when in reality I am just taking my vitamins! LOL Feeling really good today. Count me in on this exercise challenge. I need it. Well back to work. Trying to work on December staff schedules. :Banane20:

Jackie - I don't like Gummy bear candy so I don't think I would like the vitimans either... I am pretty good about getting veggie and a little fruit in daily - and I just bought a big bottle of the centrium - still have the flinstone that I need to give my DGD.. So I will continue to take every few days...

Well I emailed my doc this morning. The pain is getting really bad, especially under my left rib. I have had 1000 calories in 2 days. I couldn't even make it to 500 calories yesterday. I'll keep you updated.

Salsa - Make sure you let us know how you are :(

So here's who I have so far:

Nichole/Forgve70x7 Ruby/Frustrated Janet/IndioGirl55 Karri/salsa1877 Phyl/phyllser

You all still have plenty of time if you want to join. Here's what I'm thinking I'll do, is each day or week depending on your personal preferences, you can send me a PM when you have done your exercising. I have a table in excel that I will just mark and post every Saturday during the month with the updates. I just figured out though that I'll have to copy it into Word when I post it, but oh well. :(

I've added the Word doc so you can all see what I have. :Banane20:

I hope more of us Lucky 7's join in!!

So my doctor called me back and I have to go in tomorrow. He wanted me to go in today, but I can't just leave my job and drive the 6 hours there. However, I will get a sub for the last two days of this week and then we are off all of next week for Thanksgiving so YEAH!!!!! Trying to find the silver lining in all of this! They are going to completely unfill me and then let my tummy rest for a few weeks. That will be fine cause I will go back in during Christmas break. I don't think for me it will be too big of a deal about being unfilled. I am DETERMINED to get below 200 pounds soon, so no matter how much will power it is going to take, I will do it. I think I have to go back on post-op diet anyways, so I won't have much of a choice. pureed tuna fish here I come! It just makes exercising kind of tough being on liquids/mushies only. Actually the fact that I have only 8 oz of chicken broth all day makes things kind of tough. I have zip for energy. I won't have internet access when I am back in WA visiting the doc so I will fill (no pun intended) you in when I get back.

Ok gang I want you to know i am having a sliver and i mean sliver of the worlds best choc cake (it's the size of those thin breads by northridge i think 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 1/4 thick..). A girl in our office makes the BEST choc cake (hersery powder) to die for. But you know what - i have only eaten maybe 1/4 and it's really not as good as i remember - I think I will do the " Better in Thee (trash) Than In Me" trick

OK YES I JUST THREW IT AWAY :clap2: - I AM STRONG I AM WOMAN :)

Before you all think of me as a Godess - yes i did a good thing - but during the daytime it's easy for me to eat healthy BUT had i had this piece of cake at home during my night time kitchen raid - I most likely would have eaten it all and wanted more....

Hello all. It is so good to read everything. I am so sorry I have been MIA for a while. I was sick with respiratory issues and then just life, work, etc. Everyone is losing so well. I feel like the turtle, not the hare.

Peaches, I can totally relate to your feelings about slow weight loss. I see so many losing 50 and 60 lbs and I am just 30 lbs down. I know I need to add more exercise, but it is hard to exercise when you cannot breathe. Now I should start slowly trying to do something.

I just got my 2nd fill yesterday morning. I am also worrying I may be too tight. Doc says I have a total of 2 cc in 4cc band. yesterday I could drink Water ok but nothing else. Today I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast, lots of water, and some soupy mashed potates for lunch. They went down ok. I am trying to figure out some very, very mushy, tasty, and easy to fix for support. Ideas are welcome.

My doc has stop in once a month to weigh but I felt I needed more than that so I joined TOPS (take of pounds sensibly). They meet weekly, are much cheaper than weight watchers ($4/month vs $12/week) and are a great supportive group. it turns out the leader is a girl I went to high school with in Savannah. It's a small word. Anyway, I have been going since Oct 8 and I have lost 12 lbs. So it really has helped motivate me and having to weight each week does keep you on your toes.

I have been getting back into quilting, trying to keep busy in the evenings rather than graze food. Hard to eat while quilting. I am buying me a new sewing machine and picking it up next week...a Bernina. This is an early Christmas present for me. I am very excited.

That sums up my life. How is everyone else doing? I would love to join the exercise challenge. What is it....20 day at least in December?? 'Sign me up.

Talk with you later...

I've been needed some inspiration to work out and get to the gym. After reading some of your posts, I think that some others are having the same problem.

So, here's what I'm proposing, for the month of December why don't we all shoot for 20 days of working out? That could be cardio or weights, but just so we are all doing something. Let me know what you all think. I would be willing to keep track of it, but just wanted to see if anyone is interested.

I finally broke 230 today, so I'm still moving, but it's still slower than I would like. I think I might try to go in for another fill in December, but we'll see. I am setting a mini-goal for myself to hit onderland by January 25th which is my 29th b-day. So, I'm hoping I'll hit it, but I know that exercise is the key.

Anyways, let me know what you all think.

~Nichole

I am in!!!!:)

Add me to the list. Shouldn't be a problem since I am already riding my exerbike at least 60 minutes a day.

Well, I took a can of Progresso Soup, blended it and heated in microwave. Very tasty and went down easy. I ate the whole can. I guess I just need to get used to the new band tightness.

Janet--you did a lot better than I did with the amaretto, raseberry, cocoa cake at work this week. It tasted fabulous. I tried to make up for it by not eating supper, but that was a mistake. Last night I was so hungry that I ate way too fast and ended up losing it. I have to get back on the plan. OK. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Sunny--Gald to see you're still kicking around. We are missing some of the regulars from last summer. Your fill might be a little tight, but as long as you are able to tolerate liquids, and not haveing reflux, you should be OK. My first fill was 2cc and I suffered for about 6 weeks. Now I am pretty good (most of the time) Maybe this will jump start some weight loss for you and as you lose the band will losen up a bit.

Nichole--I am going to have to pass on the December challenge. It's too cold and dark and nasty to go outside and walk anymore, and DH says I spent too much money already this year, so no treadmill in the basement :). I just can not get myself to go out in the cold once I get home from work. This time of year we go to work in the dark and come home in the dark (well, maybe that is exaggerating, but not much--November is a cloudy, blustery, miserable month). I know that I should--you guys don't have to get on my case. I just simply don't want to. I wish all of you the best, and I will be watching the reports of your progress.

The good news is that I went in the basement last weekend and found some old jackets and a coat that I can wear this winter so that will save some money.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
