i'm 25 and looking to be banded sometime this year. my job excludes it so i've found a new job that i know covers it :) i start there on the 29th of this month, insurance starts day 1!!! woo hoo! i cant miss work for 90 days, so i'm lookin to start my appts end of august. i wish i had done this much sooner. but i'm still young so i'm still excited! i've never felt what its like to not be overweight so i'm lookin forward to that for sure!

I'm 26, I'm just wondering if anyone my age is from washington state??? The youngest I met on here is 18. I would have had my banding done sooner but it took my insurance 2 1/2 years to approve.

I'm 27 and was banded a few months ago. I looooooooove it, I'm doing pretty good and feel good.

& I'm from Boston!

Hey there, I'm 26 but I was banded when I was 25. I didn't realize how many young people their where around here! I haven't had much luck with my band so far but hopefully that will change. I'm moving next month from Portugal back to Florida.

I am late 20's but 20's none the less (hanging onto it for a few more weeks!). I was banded Sept/06 and wish I had done it much sooner!! The band has given me my life back.

omg! MIMIN, you've lost almost 100 lbs. in about 8 months? that's wild.

evilah

Yep, coming up on 8 months soon. Most of it came off in the first 5 months, the last 2.5 have been very slow in compairison. It's kind of frustrating sometimes but I am happy with the results!

hey everyone,

I am 23 years old and I just got a call from my insurance company telling my they WILL!!!! PAY!!!! for my surgery. I should be going through my preop testing very soon and hope to be banded by early june if all goes well. Doctor says I have to lose 12 lbs and I am down 7lbs so 5lbs to go. Wish me luck.

I am 26, I was banded when I was 25 have had my band for 6 months now and it's been the best thing I could have ever done!!!

Hi everyone---

Im 27 and was banded on 05/14/07. So I am still a new bandster, but I cannot wait until next year around this time to hopefully be reposting my new weight at goal. I figure a year is not so out of reach to lose at least 100 lbs. We will see. Good luck to you all!!!

I'm 24 and i was banded nov of 06. I started looking at the lapband when i was 19 or 20 but couldn't get it until now. Love it though have lost 30 lbs so far.

LOL actually when I had my psych evalutation the psychologist asked me how long I thought it would take to lose the weight. I said I thought it would take a couple of years or so if I lost at an average of 2lbs per week. Well he told me not to be surprised if I lost a lot faster than that, that I just might reach goal in a year. I was thinking, of course "he doesn't know how slowly the weight comes off". Well he was right I guess. Two months out and down fifty pounds already- so now I'm thinking I just might lose it all in one year. Probably less than two years anyway.

i just got my insurance approval last friday. I cried. Because i was thinkin, wow, I can be normal again, and also because I'm scared of surgery.

evilah

mimin,

do you plan to have anymore plastic surgery?

evilah

Evilah,

I am trying to be patient and let my body catch up however patience is not a virtue I have so probably yes. I would like to have a full body lift and and arm lift. I am saving my pennies and hope to do it this winter.

Mim
