Calling all health care workers!

How many pounds did it take to go down a scrub size? I'm 2 weeks post op and down 21lbs from my highest weight. I wear 2x scrubs, I still have 2 weeks to be home and I'm wondering if I should go out to get new sizes now or wait until after I start back working. They were kind of falling off of me then so I'm sure I might be swimming in them come time to start working. What did you do?

Pulmonary nurse here. Taking 2 weeks off then going back to just desk work for 2 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Are you all keeping your wls as a secret? I wanted to but saying im having surgery and come back to work weeks later and down 30 or so lbs isn't going to make alot of sense. We are nurses and pretty smart to figure out it wasn't just a normal surgery. Anyone else?

For those coworkers that I don't want them to know all the details, I tell them I'm having bowel surgery. They all know I have IBS so it fits. Plus, it's not an actual lie! ;)

Thanks about the advice. We are color coordinated so all the scrubs I have to have are going to be maroon. I am back at work now. I'm in 2x scrubs and thay are looser on my even though I've only lost 25 lbs. I will keep these ones for a bit longer and keep my options open for later.
