I just got my lab work back and found out I am Vitamin D and Iron deficient. I have always been on the low side for iron, but this is the first time I have heard about the vitamin d. All I have to do is get a letter from my PCP approving my for surgery before I can submit to insurance. I was hoping to have surgery next month. Will my deficiencies put it on hold? They didn't tell me how low I was, but I have started bariatric advantage multi, iron, and my surgeon just prescribed the vitamin D. Anyone have this happen to them? How long did it take to get your levels ready for surgery? Thanks.
