Mine is an insurance thing. I started this process in June. My insurance requires a six month daily food journal and monthly classes.

Dec is the best time for work schedule. Always slows down just before Christmas and good time for surgery and recovery. Clients are more focused on Christmas activities, etc and not so much about productivity. January they come back with a vengeance. ????. Need to be well healed and ready to go by then.

For me it's only because I have a month off between December and January. But I'm also self pay so I could choose whatever date I want. But I wanted maximum down time so I can recover

Yeah this month is the end of my insurance required D&E visits. Last one on the 28th I've had my preop meeting with surgeon a few weeks ago. As soon as my file is ready to go it'll be sent to the insurance. She said even though I didn't want a date in December to get it sent straight away so I can get the date I want. It's probably not the surgeons being busy but how many OR's available at the hospital. For this same surgical group I saw a surgeon on a thursday and had my gallbladder out on the monday. My Dr took a month off in May so I assume she works all December. I feel sure I'll get a date since I'm on track for a November one anyways and thus will have my pick before those on track for December but I think December is busy bc ppl want to get the surgery before the end of the year and the reset of deductibles.

No date yet, but I'm most likely having mine in December. I'm a little bit nervous, a little excited, a little bit overwhelmed all rolled into one.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
