Oh ok I don't even feel hungry which is crazy I want stuff but it's not like I'm starving this is day 4 9 days to go if my approval come back this week I'll be pushed up to the 15 th instead of the 23 nd and I'm ready

I have the same feeling, not hungry but I want to eat something. I have found crushed ice or even ice I've blended helps. That crunch makes me feel like I'm eating something.

Yeah I am on all liquids for 16 days to shrink my liver and clear me out lol but I am in Australia so things are a bit different here.

Unfortunately it's school holidays here so I am stuck making 3 meals a day for 7 more days.

That would be hard. This liquid diet is proving we are stronger than we thought. Good luck!

Started my liquid diet today. 13 more days to go...I did have a few minutes where I could have totally cheated but remembered that cheating is what got me here. I am trying to stay focused and disciplined because this is about getting my body ready surgery.

hy when I'm on the liquid diet every other commercial is food. Why would I possibly be craving little Caesars? Come one really little Caesars !!! I've slipped a couple of times. I went to the movies and had popcorn. And I ate 7 smoked almonds. I still stayed under 1000 calories but they want me at 800. I had to start giving away my Snacks so I won't eat them. I need to train my mind more because next week it's all clears. Pray for me.

5 more days. I'm going to will my liver to shrink.

Did you all completely clean out your pantry and refridge and get rid of a lot of food before you started your liquid diet? There is so much stuff that I want to get rid of, but I need to keep food in my house for my family!

same with me. My family still has their Snacks. I even warned them that I was going to buy frozen dinners so that I wouldn't have to cook and smell the food.

Sounds like everyone is going great!

I am now on day 9 of 16 and things are much easier now.

I am drinking a lot of my sweet tea but it has no sugar (liquid sweetener instead) and I gave my surgeon a ring and he was okay with the black tea in whatever volume I could consume lol so it's all good.

I have to say I am starting to get nervous now, everything is payed for and arranged so it's just a waiting game.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
