So happy everyone is recovering well. I've been able to hold down whatever I eat with no problems. Dream of crunch , even a salad: ) I've been doing cream of chicken Soup made with skim milk and drained, Tomato Soup. V8 juice, sugar free pudding thinned with milk, cream of wheat thinned a lot with cinnamon and sugar free maple Syrup, Protein shakes. Taking Vitamins well.

What have you've been able to eat? I am still two weeks away I think from food. How long are you out from surgery?

Had my surgery Oct 7, I'm on a full liquid diet, I listed above what I've been eating so far. Add sugar free popcycles and caffeine free herbal tea too. I just add skim milk to thin everything

Did you have the bypass, sleeve or the lap band?

Ok. I had my surgery on the 8th. I have gas pains so bad it is waking me up on in my sleep. It is all in my back. Any suggestions. I can barley get enough Water down. Just adds more gas. I sip really slowly. It took me 12 hours to get 16 oz down and my pee is still too dark.

Any suggestions?

Anyone set for surgery for October? I'm scheduled for October 8th and would like to find someone or more to keep in touch with. Getting nervous.....

Hey I had surgery on the 8th. How are you feeling? I'm still a little sore but moving along.

Still some pain, better everyday. Cleaning and organizing house, will be a week since gastric bypass surgery tomorrow. Finished a Protein Shake this am, feeling accomplished.

Yes it's amazing how the smallest things make us feel great! Have you tried "New Whey" Protein bullets? They have 0 sugar and have 42 grams of protein and it's only 4oz. Check them out. I use one a day along with 1 protein shake and 32oz of Water, 2 oz of Jello and about 5 oz of broth. I just take an ounce of one item every 30-45 minutes, more often with water. It also helps if I leave it in the kitchen, it forces me to walk to get it. Just my little tricks so far.

Buffer, I find walking helps. However I am using Gas X strips. They help me alot.

Thank you. Just got off the treadmill walked a mile. Walking was fine. Still a little sore in the lower right hand side of my abdomen. Not bad though. Still a lot of air. I am going to the Gas X strips next. Wondering if I should lay off the eating and only work on Water.

I found them at my grocery store, HEB- San Antonio tx. But you can order them on Amazon. Here is a pic of what they look like.

** I also added the Protein mix from Special K - has 5g of Protein, I split the package between 2 bottles of Water, it's kind of sweet( no sugar Fyi) I have only seen it in kiwi/ strawberry.post-235564-14132217077351_thumb.jpg post-235564-14132216275707_thumb.jpg post-235564-14132216418756_thumb.jpg post-235564-14132216529916_thumb.jpg post-235564-14132216647153_thumb.jpg

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
