  6. My doctor let me choose. But the factor that changed my mind was when he told me there was less risk of leakage with a bypass after 2 weeks than the sleeve. I'm very happy with my bypass.
  7. I am 4 weeks post op. The nerves are natural. I even had the thought that because I was losing weight pre op maybe I didn't need it. I had a robotic procedure which left me with very little pain post op. I was able to go home the next day. Since then, I feel as if I've gotten my life back. I have soo much energy. I walk alot now! It was hard mentally at first, but it passes quickly. Celebrate your little milestones! I'm down 30 pounds since surgery, and 43 from my hw. Good luck! It's definitely worth it.
  8. My doctor helped me make the decision. He said I was a candidate for RNY or Sleeve. At first I was going to go with sleeve. During one of our appointments two things changed my mind. 1 the chance of weight gain is higher with sleeve. 2 he said the chance of leaks after 2 weeks are actually less with RNY. Besides taking care of the diabetes those two things changed my mind.

  12. I'm using the bariatric vitamins my doctor's office carries. The website has non chewable you can order, but my doc requires 3 months before going that route.
