Hey, I'm on my third day of liquid diet; 5 Protein Shakes per day and that is IT.

That hasn't been a problem with hunger, I'm staying full, but I have been getting these weird headaches. It's like my brain is swelling too big for my skull to contain. Like a tightening band around my head and lots of pressure. I thought it might be too much Protein (I got 184 g yesterday and had to back off on my last shake), but after sleeping all night and then having my first shake, I'm getting my headache back. I will cut down today to around 90g just to see if it relieves anything.

Also, my jaw keeps popping like it wants to come come out of joint. These are the only problems, but they are really bothersome. Is anyone else having these issues?

Understand...day 9 here but I only get 3 per day and then broth or sugar free Popsicles. It makes weight training at the gym like climbing a mountain. We've got this!!!

I have thought about substituting 1-2 of those shakes with broth, but I start feeling dizzy every 3 hours if I don't get my Protein in. I'll see if my powder will dissolve in broth.

I try to add some unflavored powder in my broth. Don't have less than they say...if they said five keep five! Mine only said 3. :-(

Okay- I'll try anything! I will add the powder to broth, but I'm gonna kick it back by a bit.

Thanks for your suggestion!

I everyone, I have not dropped of the face of the the earth.

Just have been super busy volunteering at the Hospital Ladies Board yearly Rummage sale. It is a huge deal and 100,000s of dollars are raised. We expect 20,000 from my department alone. We have the designer goods and my on my I am exhausted every night.

Today was ruff I had a Premier vanilla shake for lunch and it did not agree with me. Guess who had to use a port a potty 5 times. Fortunately only volunteers had used it and it was very clean but still, yuck. There's like 20 potties I had to play guess what's behind the door for a good one. I wish I could have gone home but I wouldn't have made it. Sorry for the TMI but has anyone had this issue with these shakes. I am now worried sick I picked up a stomach virus. What if I don't get better fast enough and my surgery is cancelled. Jeez, why is this happening?

Last week I went to Cheesecake Factory (last meal befor 2 week diet) and had something that caused some of the worst heartburn I have had in years. Had to call the doctor who placed me pronto on Protonix ( a stronger Prilosec like med). Is there a black cloud over me?

After tomorrow, I am only going out of the house for the absolute essential stuff. HIBERNATION

@beni. Oh my goodness! I definitely think hibernation is a good idea! Feel better soon!

@@Beni aww beni baby, I hope you feel better and I hope you guys raise the money and you're so kind hearted. Everything will be fine, and your surgery will go as planned. Did the medicine work? And maybe the shake was a one time thing. I really hope you're not getting a virus and its just one time. Feel better :).

I had a few of those headaches too! Exact feeling, like someone was wrapping a tight band around it and squeezing. For me, drinking more Water helped a bit to keep them at bay. My plan only requires 30g of protein and 1000 calories. But I couldn't manage with only 30grams, so I get a lot more than that. usually around 85 and I'm rarely hungry. I actually have had a hard time getting in all 1000 calories. Imagine that! Little different than "before liquid diet!" :D

Thank you @amylynns. It's good to know that it's a 'normal' reaction or common, and I don't have a tumor or anything pressing upon my brain! My mind wanders to the worst case scenario.. I'll try extra Water too. :)

Good morning fellow gladiators!!

Ugh, I'm at work. I hate working Saturdays! I only have to work about 1 a month though, so not too bad. (and just til 3pm) We're having a big event today at work, hoping to bring in a bunch of traffic. So far, pretty quiet, LOL. That's fine with me, because I have a bunch of paperwork to get done before my 2 week "vacation."

When I get home from work today I get to start my bowel prep. Oh joy! I'm excited!!

I finally told my Dad about my surgery yesterday. Well, I emailed him, LOL. I'm such a chicken. I pretty much just said, " I'm having weight loss surgery on Monday, and I know you don't understand why, and you don't agree with this, but it's something I feel is right for me. I understand your concerns, but I've done a TON of research and talked to over 15 people that have had it, and I've prayed about it--and I feel a total peace about it. So while I don't expect you to be supportive of me, I also don't want to hear any judgemental comments from you. " I had sent it to my mom and dad, but my mom had already known about it, she just didn't want dad to know she knew, LOL... So I called her and asked her how he was. She said all he said was, " I'm not going to worry about it, it's her decision." WOW!? Really?? I'm very surprised. He hasn't said anything to me about it, I don't think he will.

But I feel better now that I've told him. ;)

Oh, I hear ya!! When I got the first one, it was day 2, well, the middle of the night between day 1 and 2. And I woke up thinking it was an aneurysm or something. It was horrible, so much pressure!! I actually took an Aleve, or 2 maybe, LOL. And I put a cool cloth on my forehead too. When I woke up in the morning, it was better, but not gone. Hopefully you won't have anymore of them! <_<

Did you have your surgery already? Or are you 10 days out on your liquid diet?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
