I had the sleeve done on 9/15/14. Ive lost only 35 lbs. I haven't lost a pound in almost 2 months. But I've lost tons of hair. The stress this has caused is insane. My hair was thin to begin with but full of life. Now you can see straight through my scalp. Not losing weight and my hair has me DEPRESSED.

I had my sleeve on 9/15/14 too. I have lost 30 lbs and handfuls of hair. I have been struggling to say the least. It was great to see your post and realize that I'm not the only person that is losing slowly. Don't get me wrong I am happy that I am down 30 lbs but it's hard to sign on and see other people losing 60-100 lbs in the same time frame.

I had gastric bypass he said I should have lost 30 more than that he said first year I would lose most of my weight and clock is ticking

I understand now. Yes bypass patients typically lose a little faster. Did he offer any suggestions to help speed up your weightloss?

I was sleeved on 9/18/14. I'm having more trouble with my fingernails than my hair. May I ask what you ladies typical eat? Are you getting in all your Protein & Water. Do you exercise regularly? If your weight gain steady as in about the same amount of weight loss each week? I tend to have a big weight loss followed by a smaller one, but so fair I have steadily been losing.

Hi everyone! Vicky here. I was sleeved 9/23/14. I'm down almost 60 lbs. From 256 to 197 but honestly have been stuck for like 3-4 weeks now when I was losing 2 lbs weekly. Very scared that this is it, but thanks to you guys, I'm keeping the faith that weight loss will pick up again on a few weeks. Fingers crossed. I'm still 36 lbs from my goal weight :(

I'm down only 38lbs since surgery 9/30/14. I thought/think my loss is slow, but slow and steady wins the race ????. I'm getting 65-80 grams of Protein, could do better with my Water and exercising 3-4 days a week. I went back to shakes once a day and it has kicked my weight loss back in gear. I would like to lose about 40-45 more to get my BMI to 30.

I have lost 53 pounds since surgery 9/24/14, 71 pounds since last March, and 94 pounds from my heaviest two years ago. I lose about 2 pounds a week now, my NUT (1/6/15) says I am ahead of where I should be, I thought I should have lost more! But slow and steady is how to go. Had a friend who was sleeved, lost her weight really quickly. At 40 she looks mid 50s. She looks like those pictures of what drugs and alcohol does to your looks!

I really do need to drink more Water.

I was sleeved 9/23 and down about 35. Terribly slow but no regrets.

It has cheered me up hearing that not everyone is losing weight really fast. I was sleeved on 09/19/14 and have lost 58lb since surgery. I seem to have hit a stall over the past month and have lost hardly anything despite getting more exercise and still eating small portions. I still think 58lb is pretty good but when you hear of people losing 100lb over the same period you begin to wonder what you are doing wrong.

I'm probably around this range. I was down 55 at my last f/u about a month ago. I have an appointment on the 19th and I should get a weight update then. I think this rate is actually kind of in the middle. Not what I'd called extremely slow, but not super fast either. I'm actually okay with it because I'm hoping it will mean less skin sagging.

I was sleeved on 9/17/14 and am down 61 lbs. My nutritionist said that was pretty good. We must all give our selves credit that we made it through the very stressful holidays. Take a deep breath and get inspiration as spring is on the way. I have been using my fitnesspal.com and find it very helpful especially during stalls. I am noticing a trend with my weight loss, the reports section gives you a graph and that helps me. I find if I record what I eat it is when I have the most success. I have upped my work outs and am doing weight training 2 days a week with a trainer, I have also found that I love Yoga (never in my life dreamed I would even try it) . I would like to see the weight come off faster, but I am just so glad it is coming off and it feels so good to feel healthier in the long run. Keep up the good work every one....remember it is a journey.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
