Sleevers 15th September to 21st September Check in

Recommended Posts

Hi all!!! Had my surgery 9/17 and all has been well. Not much pain at all but today I'm finding a feeling of maybe fullness with my Protein Shake for Breakfast? Maybe I drank too fast.

I did has a day or so of nausea but the pills worked. I'm not able to tolerate Water straight but I have it mixed with a bit of g2 and that works.

I had my first bm yesterday and it was rock hard so I'm going to get some milk of mag today and see if that helps me.

For the most part all is good.

Great news so glade your doing well

I am 5 days post op today. I had a bit of anxiety because I'm struggling to get my Protein in and I'm feeling very weak. I'm going to try mixing my shakes with Water and having a cup of Tomato Soup made with milk and some v8 juice to get some Vitamins in. See if that makes me feel better. I know this is a normal reaction to this phase but it's not something I prepared for.

I just actually spoke to my surgeon about the same thing, you can actually buy Protein that's not like a powder and used in Water. The name slips my head but I am going to the sports and diet shop to get some this week. I will add this to my fluids

I hope you are feeling better soo

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
