Ted hose and spirometer

Hi all, does anyone else out there have to wear ted hose for 6 weeks?????????????? I am getting sick and tired of these damn things...its been two weeks and I am not really sure I can take much more...and then the spirometer? Again they want me sucking on that for 6 weeks...I am walking 2 miles a day so I havent been doing that anymore I think my lungs are doing great!! Just wanted to know if anyone else were required to do these things? Deanna

Hi.

As a nurse, I can totally understand WHY they want the TEDS and the IS...but I can't say I would like it either. As long as you are moving adequately, I would think it would be OK to discontinue their use... BUT don't take MY word for it!! Call your doc and see what he/she says about it.

LOL bubblebutt. I know but look funny with capris....I wish I could get rid of them...and NO THEY WANT ME WEARING THEM FOR 6 WEEKS

Yeah, they are unattractive, but wayyyy better than getting a blood clot and dying... Oh vanity...Haha.

Still, I hope I won't have to have them!
