Morning all!

Where is everybody???

Now that the shock & awe of the high school evacuation is behind us we have a BIRTHDAY to Celebrate. My twins turn 15 on Saturday!!! And guess what..... they don't really want anything! Well, I won't let the day go by without something so I think I will taking all the kids to a matinee to go see Pirates 3 and maybe lunch out. The children aren't home with me yet but this gives Dan a chance to breath for a few hours. He's been watching the kids for 2 weeks now. The other thing the boys and I have been discussing was to invite the boys friend Andy with us on a day trip to Disneyland. I am only concerned that Andy's strict vietnamese family won't allow him the time to go out. Poor Andy spends most of his time on the weekends studying. Lets pray that Andy gets to go and all the kids have the time of their lives! OK, I have got to get dressed, and go gift shopping. Everyday I seem stronger and get more done.

Com'on everybody.... where ya hiding??

Hi Honey I'm Home :D

I am so looking foward to three days off uhhhhhh. Its warm here in jersey, me and DD just got out of the pool. Swimming in NJ in May is unheard of LOL, most people only take the covers off their pools this weekend and it usually takes a few weeks for the Water to warm up. The water was 85 degrees tonight, perfect.

Patty I'm glad things are calming down and your feeling better. Yes it takes a few weeks to feel some what normal so be careful. Happy Birthday to the boys. Sorry to hear Ex make a stupid call as to leave the boys unattended for that long WTH is wrong with him.

Kat, how is Rick feeling?

Chrispy you look BEAUTIFUL !!! that dress and flowers are so pretty.

Cindy, Sherry, Betty and the rest of you gals, I'll check in tomorrow and post some more.

Luv yah's !!!!!

Eileen

Okay, so on the other hand, here in Texas, it is cooler than usual, not even hitting 80 degrees. Maybe we are in upside down land?

Hi Girls,

Its hot out there....love it !

Sherry, 75 is a little to cold for me but lots of people like it cooler than warmer.

Cindy the weather sure is crazy LOL, but I'll take the warmer over the colder. How's things toots ?

Mndy enjoy your cake :)

Oh well back to the kitchen to cut up a watermellon.

I bought a Richard Simmons steamer and I'm gonna test it out tonight with some fish and veggies.... ((((Crossing fingers)))) I love fresh veggies but hate the hassle of cooking them so I'm hoping this steamer will help.

Okay kiddo's toodles :)

They were in the Water again today Eileen. The water temp was 78 today. I didn't think it was warm enough outside or inside the pool for me lol. Beautiful here today though.

New sliding glass door was put in today. Can you believe ya can't find a replacement screen around here? Yeap so we put in the entire door....but....then again I love it. The old door wasn't as energy effecient as this one and I can already feel a difference in the kitchen with the new doors :) Tempers kinda flaired between DH and his bro while they were working on it...I think my DH is too tired cause he can have a temper. The BIL doesn't know when to quit either so the combo didn't do well today. Made for some tension today ending with BIL going home instead of staying for dinner. I have extra to put in the freezer now. chicken Enchiladas today. There were yummy......just wish the argument didn't happen. I'm sure they'll get over it in a few days. DH has his trip coming up on Wed. Then it will be DS and me only for a while. DS is excited about it hahaha. He loves his step-dad but it's not often that we get mom and son time....we'll have to plan a few things together :)

DS is still very nervous about driving. He's doing well but, he's very hard on himself if he misses a turn or he thinks someone is going to pull out on him. It's going to take time that's for sure. I can't blame him, he got hit really hard. Good news is...he saw the Orthopedic surgeon Friday and he was given the ok to be without his crutches. He just can't lift more than 25 pounds and no rough housing, jumping, running etc for 3 more months. Looks like he's healing well but, it's still going to take time.

Well....just went to the grocery store so I need to put all that away UGH. Between that and laundry I'm not sure which I hate more...Oh I know cleaning toilets lol. That's tomorrow. UGH.

Hugs to you all. Hope you're all doing well!

Good afternoon!

Happy upside down cake day, Mandy!

It's still rainy here in north Texas.

DH has all this week at home before starting his summer school classes on the 4th. He's cleaning his Ebay office today. I should be doing something like that, but just don't have the "urge". LOL!

My DD is clamoring for extra "school" work from me, all day yesterday! I don't know when that is going to wear off, but it will. She is having fun, though.

I just don't have a lot of fun news to share, pretty boring around here!

Patty, hope you are out and about by now...you should be able to drive by now, I think!

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!

Hi,

Sounds like your all enjoying this weekend! Thats great we are too. It is 88 here we should have spent the day outside but instead we watched Piarrites the second one. It was a nice relaxed family day. Then the In-laws took us out to dinner.< /p>

DH starts new job and Tuesday. We are both excited about it. The change will be good. We went to the main office in NJ last week and the President tok us out to lunch. It was really nice that he wanted to spend the time with us.

I'm going to be starting a new job pretty soon. I'll fill you all in more when it is officially offical, but it is exciting! I'll be helping people and making money what more could you ask for.

Have a good night

Hi all!! I got in a great workout. Hubby and I trimmed all the trees that were hanging over our fence. There was no grass growing in the backyard due to lack of sunshine. Today's labor will make that better. I have a stack of branches 6 feet tall in my backyard that have to be bundled and put to the curb for trash day. Then while we were working the neighbor (she's older and 90% deaf) came out and started working in her back yard, it was as shady as ours. I felt sorry for her and offered to help her out. She gladly accepted and we went into her back yard and started trimming there too. We realized it was all the same tree blocking out sunshine. I got the ladder and up I went with the power saw, let's just say the tree had a major makeover. I got a good workout and was able to help a neighbor. I also have sunshine for my backyard. I am sooo tired. We had hotdogs for dinner. I managed to eat one (no bun) and I'm stuffed. I took a shower and I'm ready for bed. Oh before I did all this, I changed the sheets on the beds and washed the stuff I took off. I also went to sam's club and shopped today. Night all, Mandy

Hi Girls,

Happy Memorial Day... bitter sweet day wouldn't you say :drum:

I'm pooped, I was SUPPOSED to clean the house this weekend but since the pool is open...forgedaboutit!! I really have to clean it b/c my friend is babysitting my dog / house next weekend (sunday - tuesday) so we can go to hershey park with dd. I'd hate for the house to be messy. Its not dirty, just so much chit all over the place. Anyway...

Sales today...gonna get new sneakers and a fancy new washer / dryer, the new top loading one. The colors are cool, they have an awesome red but it won't match my decor so we'll prob go blue or white.

The fill is working some what, I'm not hungry in the morning which feels devine...but at night I can pound down the food... oy... Heck I'll take it !!! I'm at 2.5 in the band and hate to get any tighter b/c shooot I'd be afraid....vedddddddddddddddy afraid LOLOL.

Anywhooo... I gotta run and shower.

Have a blessed day all.

Luv yah !!

SHERRY !!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad your DS is doing better. I'm glad he's cautious with driving...good for him.

Dianne !!!! good luck with the new job hunting/getting :tea:

bye kids.

Where's BEANIE ??

Can't wait to hear about your washer/dryer, Eileen! How exciting! did yours poop out, or did you just decide it was time for an update? enjoy your shopping!

I hope you got some good rest, Mandy, because your work yesterday sounded brutal! I bet you'll enjoy the sunshine in your yard, though...and it was so nice of you to help out your neighbor. We have older disabled neighbors, too, and we try to do the same for them. I figure if you want to live in a world where people help people, it might as well start with us, huh?

Dianne, it's good to see you...can't wait to hear more about your new job when it's offically official!

I don't know where Beanie and Darcy are...but I miss them!

I am going to do a cooking lesson with DD today. We are going to make the classic chocolate Mayonnaise Cake with Chocolate Pecan Frosting...all from scratch. I got her a recipe box of her own, and each recipe we make and learn together, she can put in her recipe box and keep for herself.

To all the service men and women, and their familes, thank you.

Have a fun day. I'm going for a fill tomorrow, I think, so I'm going to try a hot dog today. Mt Sinia hotdogs I get them at costco, I hate hot dogs but these are fantastic! Have a fun day!

Hello Y'all!

Well, a nice long weekend, and we are both sick! We enjoyed Friday and Saturday, but Sunday was miserable for both of us. DH brought it home to me! I have slept more in the last couple of days than I did all week I think. When I take something it knocks me out for a long time and I am a zombie! If I don't take something I am miserable! Just can't win!

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend, stay well and have fun!

I am sick of rain! We need it, but gosh, enough is enough! Give me some sunshine!

Later!

Beautiful day here in Massachusetts. It's in the 80s again, sunny and the guys are in the pool. The Water temp is still too cold for my butt to get in there though :) Did lots more cleaning..seems that never ends huh? Hoping to have a yard sale sometime soon to get rid of the stuff we don't use and make room for the stuff we want to use. DH is going on his trip Wed so hoping to fill his truck up with yard junk to go to the dump before he goes. Lots to do so I have to get running.

Betty so sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
