House Calls Personal Trainer

Recommended Posts

I would like to hire a Personal Trainer that would come to my house and design a program for me based on the equipment I have. I would also want them to come over 2 - 3 times a week to oversee my workouts.

Does anyone know where I should start to research this? How much should I expect to pay for house calls?

Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

You should, like, go to your local gym and ask them. They most definately have a trainer on staff, and most of the would be DYING for a little side work.

I used to be a trainer (looong loong ago, in another life) and I'd charge about $75 for the consultation, then about $30-$40 per hour/session afterwards.

Hope that helps.

I work with a personal trainer, she was a the fitness center then went on her own. advertised in local paper. I pay $120 month for 2 days per week 1 hr a day. she has her own facility and its just me and her so I go to her. she would come to my house for the same cost but I dont have all the stuff, plus I like "going"

I do live in a small community so the cost is less than larger cities. but it is great and I have seen so much mmore results than at the gym on my own.

the gym instuctor might know someone too>

good luck!

Thanks, Brenda. There is a YMCA nearby and they employ trainers so maybe I'll strike up a conversation with one of them.

109 pounds! Good for you. What an inspiration you are. Thanks.

Hi Mya,

I have been reading your other posts about being 117 pounds and wanting to be 97 so you can be a model. Although everyone is surely welcome on here...I am not sure you really should be paying 8,500 to be banded.. after you are banded you know that you can still eat right? It is NOT going to stop you from eating..and also..you are 18...how could you of been a personal trainer...when you were 12? People were paying a teenager with no college education $75 dollars for a consult? I am having a really hard time with this and most of the other things you say. Maybe you should try to eat lettuce and cucumbers for a while and see if you can lose that 20 pounds that you seem to think you need a lap band for. Gastric bypass might be a better solution than the lap band. Anyways, best of luck to you in your fantasy world....:straight

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
