Cutie pie if I've ever seen one. She looks so cute. I am a hairstylist and have to say I don't think the stylist was listening to what you wanted though. Even though she looks so cute. Long layers means the longest hair will remain long and layers are place in the hair. It looks like she took off some length and removed lenth from in front of her ears in an angle. Either way she looks realy sweet.

I adore the young lady's haircut...I am thinking of getting mine cut trendy like that after my surgery!

I think it looks really cute :)

And very nice for summer, I wish I could cut my hair that short just for the summer then have instantly long hair for the winter.. so I keep a happy medium year round.

Cute, cute, cute!! I don't see any tears in the after pic, so I'm guessing she's ok with the new do. And hair doesn't have to be long to be feminine!! I love short hair. I even have some myself!!

I agree, its cute. My daughter had a cow when we first cut her hair too. I was to the middle of her back and then cut to her jaw line. But now, she loves it short, although I like it longer, she's tomboyish anyway. Tell her its cool and the next thing she will notice is a lot of her friends getting their hair cut too. Also, tell her its hair, it will grow back...lol. They think the world is coming to an end on something that seems aweful for a couple months and then notice the world is growing hair like she is. Its funny how they act. I have two girls, very dramatic, its always a theatricle experience around here.

Very cute!

I would miss the longer hair in the summer. Sounds odd, eh? But true. I've had very long hair in the summer (to my waist), and very short hair (off the neck). The long hair was much, much easier. It could just be put up in a french twist or messy bun or even a french braid. Wake up, comb, up, and go. The short hair had to be washed and styled. I have curly hair and my curls always go messy overnight.

I think it looks adorable.

That being said, I really feel her pain. I myself was crying (and I'm 37 years old!!!) over my most recent hair cut a few weeks ago. Literally crying and throwing a temper tantrum and calling all my friends and saying I should wear a burka, etc.

The thing that helped me the most, is hair accessories. My hair actually goes from looking HORRIBLE (I'm talking 1980's nun) to adorable, with the addition of a headband.

So if your daughter still feels bad about her haircut, get her some rhinestone hair clips, headbands, barettes with flowers on them, etc. and she will soon be loving her hair.

But it does look really cute though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
