Outpatient but could have stayed the night. The doctor said my surgery was really easy and if I wanted to I could go home. I had surgery at about 12:30 pm and stayed until about 8:30pm.

I had an allergic reaction to the iodine and still have a rash that I'm dealing with, very itchy. Not a bad complication just a bothersome one.

Liquid Tylenol and liquid vicodin (sp?). I'm still taking Tylenol all day and two nights ago I used the vicodin to help me sleep. I used that for about two days straight at home.

I'm still having pain just not as much and sometimes only when I move certain ways or cough. I'm 7 days out and back to work today for my first full day.

I would say when I first woke up I was not prepared for the pain, I said it was a 7. Now it's a 1-2. My Doctor also does a couple extra stiches to prevent a hernia so he said that would be the most painful part for some people.

I've had more than a dozen surgeries and this was by far the worst. With many of my other surgeries, I was up and about the next day. With this one, I'd say that at 4 weeks I still wasn't fully recovered.

I was given liquid Lortab. I probably needed it for 2 days, but took it for 4. I wanted to be safe - better to need it and already have it in me, than not need it and have to wait for it to kick in, eh?

Pain was minor, and really only while in the process of standing or sitting down. No pain at all once in sitting or laying. Pain for about half a day while walking, until I realized that supporting my stomach with my arm ("holding" it, keeping the weight of it from pulling on my port area) made life so much better.

When asked at the hospital I rated myself, "a half."

The most painful thing was probably sitting down, and that may have been a 2 or so.

Roxicet liquid, been home for 1 day and only took 1 dose so far but that was more to help me sleep than for the pain.

Still sore at my port incision. Worst pain was probably a 6, now maybe a 4. But only when I move or twist it. If I'm walking, sitting still or lying down there is no pain at all.
