First... Congrats Eddie & Sean - love & kisses from your twins down under XXXX Marc, Welcome ! $26000...what a joke !!!! It cost me 5000 australian dollars.... (if not insured it's 14000) come to Aussie Land & have it done ! You can stay here !!!! & Fills are free here once all the surgery is paid for. Also my doc says that if you take fish oil every day - you will have no hair loss. Just got home from dinner & tonight I've had my first serious blockage. YUK...it's awful. Just had a bit of squid & oh my boy is it stuck. Had soda water & a cup of tea but it's all just coming back up. Better ease off soon. Marc, since I started the whole process I've lost about 16 kg, (i think thats about 35 pounds)... but have only been 2 & a half weeks post first fill. It's the best decision I've ever made & keep in touch with everyone here - they are are great help ! Take care everyone & have a great weekend especially you Pam & Juli !!! XX

Hi guys ! All this talk of tatts - it must be the lap bands !!!! I have been wanted another one (my fifth) too. I have a "southern cross" (stars) on my upper arm, A baby tiger on my stomach, my sons name & birth date on my right arm & a gecko on my left ankle. Now I want a poodle (love em) somewhere.... where is the question ! My weight loss has stalled a bit too. I still have very good restriction from my first fill - two weeks ago. Next one is in two weeks time....if it's still like this I might cancell it. Hope everyone is keeping well. XX

Well. Just got home from my first restaurant (post first fill). Can't eat chicken satay skewers. This weekend has been interesting learning what I can eat & what I can't. I had the smallest amount of chicken - chewed it & chewed it - still didn't stay put. It did take me as long to eat my "starter" as it did my partner (Des) to eat his starter & main meal. Since the fill (wednesday) the pounds have been just melting away. Sine I began this whole process I have lost about 35 pounds, which is not too shabby. Hope everyone has had a great weekend. Take care everyone. Hugs !

On my card the doc put that he had injected 4.8mb....i thought that must of meant cc on a 10cc band. But who knows..... i have real good restriction now. My next fill is the day after you on the 14th.

Hi everyone. Just got home from my first fill. He put 4.8cc into my 10cc band. The doc was amazing, just used his fingers to find the port & made me drink Water while he filled it.Thank God it only took one go. Have to go back in a month for my 2nd fill. Ready to start back on the weight loss road. Was a weird feeling when he pulled the needle out. Take care everyone & hope you're all having a good week. One thing that is bumming me out is that I have been suffering really bad back pain for the last 2 weeks & unable to do any exercise. I have a long history of back pain , but at the moment it's dreadful. Losing more weight will help. X Eddie , glad you're back losing weight.

Eddie, I agree with everything that has been said. Keep your chin up , ignore those scales, everyone is telling you - you are getting more gorgeous by the day. Those scales will move - trust me. I know it is very frustrating. Know that all of us here support you & wish you well. I thought I knew everything about weight lose (having lost hundreds of pounds in my lifetime) but Juli & Cheri - you two are Masters !! XX Love to all !

Kenny, apparently my surgeon doesnt use an xray or barrium.... he just makes you swallow yogurt as he's doing it & that gives him an idea of how much restriction you need. I did ask him how he finds the port & he just said that he has magic fingers. I do hope that he wont need to stab me a dozed times to find it. Eddie, Driving up to Canada sounds really lovely. Best of luck with that. The only part of Canada we're see is Niagra Falls - which we enjoyed very much. I wish we could get married here..... when our government changes (hopefully later this year).. we think that the new government might allow us to have at least a "civil union"...well it's a start to some rights. The way I look at is after 14 years together we deserve as much rights as the so called "straights"... our neighbour has been married 3 times and if you put them all together to doesn't make it as long as Des & I have been together. By the way Des' surgery went fine & he's ok & not in too much pain....finally repaying all his kindnest after my surgery. FIRST FILL THIS WEDNESDAY !! BRING IT ON BABY !!! Love to everyone - have a good weekend !!! XX
