Let's talk about breast

Recommended Posts

I know everyone has different body types and nothing about this is going to be the same for two people. I'm curious to know how weight loss has effected shape and size of breasts for those women that have lost 100+ pounds (under 100+ you're welcome to chime in too but I've got about 150 to lose). I wear a 40G and large breasts run in my family. Even as a young teenager going through puberty and just slightly overweight they have been larger than average. I'm just wondering what I might be in for.

So here are some of my questions....

1. In all your weight loss, when were your breast affected the most? Beginning, end, the whole time?

2. How proportional was the weight loss in your breast compared to the rest of your body?

3. Did any type of exercise particularly help the shape and firmness of your breast?

Thank you ladies

I'm only 8 weeks out (I have around 150 to lose as well). My boobs seem to be the first place I'm losing weight :/ They are definitely smaller than they were before (44DD) which is not a bad thing. Less pressure on my shoulders and lower back, so I find I'm standing straighter. They already sagged quite a bit due to large size and breastfeeding, so I don't expect them to bounce back into anything resembling perky.

I'm definitely going to keep watch on this thread, particularly with the exercises (I've been doing planks and light weights currently, but if there are exercises that will help firm those puppies up, I'm all for it. Although since it's mostly fat and skin rather than muscle, I don't expect a whole lot will help :/)

I'm 4 months out - and I've gone from a 44DD to a 38 Long :)

I've lost a lot in my breasts -- I saw the most in the the first month. I still see some even today. I'm 51 so I'm past my prime to show signs of "perkiness". I'll most likely get a lift next year.

As far a proportion I feel I've been lucky and lost weight equally over my body.

I do a lot of weight training but don't see a lot of progress in the chest area, but there are a lot of exercises that help that region.Chest flys are probably the best.

Good Luck

6 weeks out and my boobs are defiantly deflating! I cannot imagine what they will be like at the end

Everyone keeps telling me I will lose the boobs but my daughter is a 30F. I think mine are here unless I finally do the reduction surgery after I lose weight. I have lost prior to now and the band went down but not the cup.

But most people do lose cup sizes. I feel so special.

42DD to a 36D looooooooong. When I bend over, they look like stretched out tube socks. It's not pretty. That said, I look great in clothes as I was a size 20 and am now a size 6/8. I really don't give a flying fook what my boobs look like when I am bent over braless.

I'm 8 months out and my boobs have not gone down in size, though my band has. So, I was a 36-38 GG or H when I started, and now I'm a (tight) 34 GG or H. I also sport bruised kneecaps when I let the girls out of captivity and walk around the house.

Captivity! LOL.

I'm down one band size and one cup size from a 44D to a 42C. But only only a little over two months out.

Lol! You guys crack me up!

I'm 11 1/2 months out of surgery and mine were steadily affected throughout. That's not the case for everyone. I went from a 44 DDD to a 34 DDD long. Good bras are required! While I'm the same cup size technically, it's deceiving... Cup sizes are bigger with bigger bands. I have definitely lost mass and when my fiancé measures with his hand... He makes a frowny face! Lol!

I am 5 weeks out. My boob fat was the first to go and I was thrilled! Haha no more roll out of the top my bras. I am annoyed that they are looking more and more deflated but that's probably from breast feeding five kids which Id do all over again in a heartbeat! :) they don't look too terrible probably because I'm only 29. But I don't care if they gets worse since the rest of me is going to look soooo much better. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
