My surgery date is July 14th! Any tips or recommendations to make this as comfortable and smooth as possible? Thank you!

I am having my LapBand removed and Gastric sleeve Surgery done on 7-14-2014 at the OCC in Tijauna.

From someone who has been through this VERY recently (I'm 12 days out), I can tell you that the whole experience has been way easier than expected. No one was more worried than I was pre-op, and it was all for nothing. The pain was totally tolerable and it wasn't even real pain... More discomfort than anything else. Out of the 6 holes in my abdomen, the only one that really "hurt" was the biggest one (where my stomach was removed from), and even that just felt like a big bruise. I had absolutely no pain at all after 7 days, and now I'm feeling fantastic. So, no worries! You'll all do great!

I get my protein water at GNC. It's called Isopure. 40 grams of protein per 20 ounce bottle. Tastes good, too.

Good luck to you, my surgery is also on July 14 at 10am I have to be at the hospital at 8am.
