Is it easy to pull the stitches out of port

My question is how does the port come undone?

I was banded yesterday. and last night when I turned over I felt like a stretch or somthing. I seen one guy on the net that he was taking a shower. And he bent over to pick somthing up. And his port came undone.

my question, is it realy that easy to fall off.? And if it does fall off does that mean another surgery?

I just may be overreacting.

I am schedule for surgery Tuesday and have a question that I inadvertantly forgot to ask my doctor, it's seems like a stupid question...it the port external where everyone can see it if I'm wearinga bathing suit?

No no no! Haha, that would be HORRIBLE!! No, the port is implanted just under your skin, and a layer of fat. They access it (to fill/unfill) using a needle, kind of like a shot.

When I went for my consultation the Nurse Practitioner let me 'see' hers and feel it. She is pretty thin now, and I couldn't even see a bump there, but when I applied slight pressure I could feel it. Pretty groovy!

GOOD LUCK!

Whoo! Thank you for that information. Even though I try to write down all of my questions, I seem to feel stupid asking the obvious questions. May I ask when you had your surgery and how are you feeling? Upon viewing the questions it seems that a lot of people have one kind of problem or another. However, the thought of actually loosing weight feels more like an untouchable dream.

I haven't had surgery yet. I'm hoping that they will call me today with my date!!

I'm a nurse, and I've researched the lap band for soooo long that I feel like I know quite a bit about it - but I STILL have questions! There are questions that I forgot to ask my surgeon too. HAha.

Good luck to you!
