I just wanted to start this thread as a place of refuge. For all the Christians that would like to Talk about all things of faith.

sorry, yes it has only been 2 years missied a year somewhere. It seems longer anyway.

I was kayaking in the pond by our house with my son, on Monday. He and I were racing (so I was paddling very hard) and I felt some pain where my band is, (Like stitches being pulled?) I still have a faint pain there all week. And acid reflux on occasion, Which I never have at all. I can still eat and drink the same amount as before I have not had a fill in over 2 years. My wife changed jobs right after we were both banded and we have differnt insurance than before. so going to the doctor is only a last resort option. and the doctor we used has moved to dallas now anyway. I need help please! Are there any stitches I may have pulled around the band? Or is there somthing else that may cause this?

I live in the Magnolia area. And was wondering if there are anymore of us around this area. I am going to be banded on 4/20. And my wife has a 5/18 date

Cris -THe only way anyone can make make themselves "worthy" of heaven is a belief and trust in Jesus Christ. We are all unworthy based on our own actions because the standard is Jesus who was without sin and perfect. And none of us can measure up to that. And as for as imposing our beleifs as Christians on others we are called in Matt. 28 : 19 to "therefore go and make disciples of all nations..." So as a Christian it is our duty to tell others about Jesus and His standards. Not to mention that someone has to defend the lives that He created in these mother's wombs. He is the only one who can create life and if it was not His intent for that baby to be born then He would not have created it. sorry I have been away so long. But this was my thought upon reading her post also.

It seemed heartfelt,but yet I'm not loving them or accepting them. what a croc (which is it) if I was not those things I would be telling her how I feel about it. But I have not done that because she would just feel worse. so tell me how I'm not bieng like Jesus in this case?

In most peoples life there are only a few people that they feel confortable talking about everything. And I'm just not one of those for her. There is nothing wrong with that.

This is somthing that would not be discussed with me. and I can't help it if they don't tell me , they did not tell hardly anyone. How is that my fault?

Well because I am very close to these people, and when you are close you hear things and see how people are. And as far as not talking to them I'm not the monster you try to make me out to be some of these guys are family and they know how I feel abot abortion And if they knew that I know they had one they might be very uncomfortable around me. And I can't just talk to them about it they would think I was trying to condem them ,which is not what I'm doing. Just because I belive it is wrong and don't think that it is okay to do. Does not mean that I don't understand. And also so many times we Christians get ridiculed for speaking up about somthing. And then some one will try to misqoute scripture, Like don't judge least you be judged. You think that we are judging them,no I'm not. Here is somthing you should read Befor you start telling me I'm judging. When Jesus said, "Do not judge, and you will not be judged," was He implying that we should regard everyone's viewpoint equally? Based on Jesus' own actions, we can be sure He didn't mean we should ignore and tolerate evil. Jesus wasn't passively tolerant toward people who were doing evil things and promoting evil values. He often made judgments regarding their actions and confronted them ( Matthew 21:13; 23:13-36 ; John 6:70-71; 8:39-47 ).

Look I am all for helping A young lady that is confused and don't know what to do. But I know of 3 people that have had abortions (that I know of ,they do not know that I know they have had an abortion by the way.)but all three of them have abused this abotion system. one had a abortion and she had a 4yr old already and now she has another kid. she could have afforded to have a kid but she was not married at the time and she already had the 4 yr old I know this was scary for her but she has depression now and it is because abortion. The other 2 people 1 has had 2 abortions and the other has had 4 before she was 22 yr old. she know has 3 kids. My point is these women were haveing sex and did not take responsabilty for thier actions so they kept choosing to make more bad desissions. By faulting their unborn child. Some regret it, some I don't know if they do. But I'm all for helping someone who needs help. But to just say I am not willing to make a choice for someone that I am not willing to help out, is a copout. First who besides the misplaced youth that got herself in this situation is going to make a good desision for the other youth (the unborn child). Lets make the desision to help them both and not cop out and take the easy road!

That's kind of the pot calling the kettle black! And to your other comment. How do you know that I'm not educated in science. For all you know lady I may be smarter than you think. Just becuase A man cannot spell does not make him an idiot. I no that you know more about science than I do. That is a given (because you said that is your job And I belive you) But I know as much about the theory of Evolution as the slightly above average joe. So please don't try to insult me because I don't agree with some of the most book smart people in the world. I don't belive that we evolved from anything else. I know in My heart that the Bible is true, and If it is true then I also belive that man was made in one day I choose to belive that, And I know it to be true becuase I have choosen to take off the blinders, and look around and I know that all things that revolve around this world were not just big bang. or whatever you say it is or the scientist of the week say's. They cannot explain life (the sun,stars,moon,gravitational pulls, photosynthesis,How a tomato seed will make a tomato plant and a watermelon seed will make a watermelon vine in the same set of ground. And how it grows in that same ground and they both taste differnt! Big bang can not do that! every bang I have ever seen destroys things Somthing has to make all this work. I have a Savior in Heaven that does just that. And that is why I do not need a master in science to now that Evolution is just a theory and not a law. I have a Master And he made all things. (even science)

Just to let you know, If it was not a theory It would be a law. It can not be proven so it is a theory!

Well I guess you are not human either. You also have to be incubated to survive. If you did not live in this atmosphere you would not survive, Right? But you have things you need like air,gravity,ozone layer,ect ect.. Just like the baby gets oxygen from its mother,protection from falling from amneotic fluid and protection from the sun (wow a mother is kind of like our atmosphere<grin>.

They are not making decisions about thier own reproductive organs. They are making decisions about another beings organs! If they would have made a choice about their own reproductive organs in the first place, Most of them would not need to make a choice too have an abortion!

I love my ipod. It really does not have music on it. I use it for the podcast's that I download (mainly The late Adrian Rogers Sermons) I downlowd them and put my Ipod under my hardhat at work and listen all day It is so cool to get these sermons. That man makes me cry. He will talk about GOD's love and I start tearing up. I'm just thankful that I am also sweating at the time, so I don't look like such a baby.

We all know that 396 is an idiot! We know that! I did word it wrong but regardless. My point in this exercise is to see how many would sit on which side of the fence. I really only wanted 2 categories pro life or pro choice. But I knew that someone would complain that there were not enough choices so I put the third one in. And at the end of the 3rd choice I should have put ect. Like rape,baby dying, AND SO ON. But for me I choose pro life, becuase I belive that all things are to be. and there is never any guarentee that a mother or child will die. Even if the dr. says 95% chance of death there is still a chance. And truly when we are talking about abortion, it is only a small % of people that thier life is in danger. So 250000 abortions a year for me is to much carnage to to start being afraid of offending poor little morjon Because I voted pro life (which is what it truly is PRO LIFE!)

I'm so glad you love your LORD Yasman He is AWSOME. Me and my Wife have been out of town, while my kids are at My Mom and Dads. we went fishing in Galveston all weekend so we missed Church this morning, but we are going in 20 min to the evning service. I pray that,Vic your dog will get all the help it needs. It is so hard. Pets are so much a part of our family.
