The Calcium inhibits the Iron absorption. You shouldn't take the Iron within 3 hours of the calcium in order to allow for complete absorption. Hope this helps! :)

Wow, we are all over the place. I was told 2 hours by my surgeon's office but heck, I try to take my Iron in the middle of the day and my two Calcium supplements early morning and late evening spacing them out as much as possible just to be safe :)

Oh and welcome to the site from one almost newbie to another :)

Btw when did you have your surgery? Mine was March 12th and I just had my 3 month follow up last week.

My DS nutrit. states that as well. No food, drink (Water is OK), or pills for 1 hour before and after. That's how I've been doing it for 9 years+.

How can a bowel movement make me lose almost 4 pounds? How much poo am I full of?

I haven't pooped in a weed and I'd love a 4 pound poo right now lol

Lol, yeah, I've been known to drop 3-ish lbs after a good (and long awaited) poop.

.....or even after a moderate to severe dumping episode. yikes.

Those are championship cups for both you guys! :) I personally came up a 1.4lb winner this morning. ;) hehehehe.

I met with my surgeon on Friday.. I've completed all my tests and all my nutrition meetings as well as meeting the weight loss requirements for my insurance. We are officially submitting to insurance for approval and I was given a surgery date of January 16th 2020 (13 days before my birthday!) Fingers crossed all goes through

Ok, now im getting old...my body gets me up at my normal 5am dog walk even when it's the weekend, vacation, and most importantly when I'm sick. So now that I have more energy, my body wants to make sure I suffer even longer during the day when I have a cold! Damn being healthy again! (:D)
