Week 2: May 27-31st Sleevers

Can you believe we all have tini-tiny stomachs now? What a week its been. Some have had remarkable painfree success and some have been downright miserable. At this stage everyone is in totally different places as far as food/liquid/nutrition. For those on Clear liquids for awhile longer, if you didn't know, Isopure makes a clear drink thats 40g Protein. Its sold at some GNC stores. Might help get some protein in while being kind to your new stomach.

I hope by the end of this week everyone is feeling fantastic!

Here is the run down! I have an idea, let me know what you guys think... What I can start doing next week after we all lose the excess surgery Fluid... so everyone can see easily how much everyone has lost, is each week we can weigh in Mondays and I can put it after your name on the new Tuesday thread. It would be great to be able to see how everyone is doing at a glance - ie (lylabelle -6). It will be fun the first few weeks when we will probably all be dropping really well (except week 3 is typically a stall). You guys can message your number to me if you want so we keep our thread clean and filled with tips, tricks, recipes, annoyances and NSVs! Let me know what you think. Love this group!

Krystal thats amazing!!

Added/updated list!

Back to work tomorrow! Sleeved on 5/27. Down 15lbs. Started with some soft foods like eggs and cottage cheese. Fluids 40-50 oz per day. 60 grams in protein shake. Dr f/u today all went well.

I have my 1 week post op today, 207 DOS and 194 this am ( yeah) . I think I'm going to puke if I look at Jello or chicken broth anymore. I need to move to the next stage! I get board very easily ( the Gemini in me). Hopefully today the doc will give me the ok. Still a little sour like I did a million sit-ups. That's about it. I'm happy so far outside of the limited food choices.

What happened to the private FB page? I never got a request and was hoping for that as it's much easier to follow the threads and posts. A friend invited me to join on but there was over 2000 members, I didn't like that. I'm getting more from this small group on the same journey same time frame. Anyone else feel the same way?

Please add me ☺️ I'm Jen from Florida I did six months with my NUT and was sleeved on 5/30 released on 6/1. On the clear liquids diet until 6/13, was able to start protein shakes 6/3. My post op appt is 6/12 with surgeon. I'm having trouble getting enough fluids in I have a constant full feeling ???? I've tried sleeping on my side with pillow and it's all good until I wake up with belly pain. Overall I feel good and am looking forward to this new life I've been given ????

Starting weight 282

Day of surgery 262

Weight on 6/4 235

Looking forward to this exciting journey with all of you brave people!

Things seem to be looking up. Still uncomfortable sleeping, but I can sort of sleep on my right side now, so that's an improvement! Mostly I'm just super tired. I wake up every day with the best of intentions to go out and walk, but I often end up feeling like I may pass out since I'm just so weak.

But I'm getting in between 1.5 and 2 liters of liquid a day, and according to Cronometer, I'm averaging 450 calories and 65g of Protein (I wanna see if I can get that up to like 80 though).

I'm definitely losing! A lot of it must be muscle from not moving much, but I can feel my clothes fitting differently. I was able to fit into some pants I haven't bothered trying for three years!

So, here are my current stats:

SW: 265

DS: 252

CW: 241

I can't complain ;)

Hello everybody ...

This is my first post ever.. I have been sleeved on 3rd of June .. So today is my second day after surgery and I'm home.

My surgery went well and I have been reading through this since I got out .. It's really interesting and Useful.. :)

Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

Wow, congrats! You are doing great!

Thanks!

The first 2 days home I didn't loose anything, an I thought to myself.. I'm going to probably be 1 of the slow losers, but then it just starting falling off! I weigh every morning (I no it's crazy but I can't help it!) an number keeps dropping;)

I woke up today an it was dropped again to!

Holy cow jenlyn you have lost almost 30 pounds in a about a week?!? I didn't think that was even possible! Wow I'm def a slow loser then, I'm down 8 as of today from surgery weight. Jenlyn I'll add you to the group. Your surgery was the same day as mine. 27lbs already!!? Man I wish

NSV - Slipped a shirt on I wouldn't wear a few weeks ago because it was tight. Fits lovely now :) :)

Hi All! Sleeved a week ago today. I've dropped 20 pounds since the start of my two week liquid diet.

I feel fine, but struggling with Protein. Tried different types of Proteins but all are resulting in lots of gas and loose bowels.

I try to avoid dairy so I did well straining a vegan pea Soup. I'm really wondering if it's the synthetic nature of the protein mixes??

Staying hydrated, though.

Don't forget that liquids in, liquids out! We won't be dealing with real solids for awhile.
