I have my 1 week post op today, 207 DOS and 194 this am ( yeah) . I think I'm going to puke if I look at Jello or chicken broth anymore. I need to move to the next stage! I get board very easily ( the Gemini in me). Hopefully today the doc will give me the ok. Still a little sour like I did a million sit-ups. That's about it. I'm happy so far outside of the limited food choices.

What happened to the private FB page? I never got a request and was hoping for that as it's much easier to follow the threads and posts. A friend invited me to join on but there was over 2000 members, I didn't like that. I'm getting more from this small group on the same journey same time frame. Anyone else feel the same way?

Please add me ☺️ I'm Jen from Florida I did six months with my NUT and was sleeved on 5/30 released on 6/1. On the Clear Liquids diet until 6/13, was able to start Protein Shakes 6/3. My post op appt is 6/12 with surgeon. I'm having trouble getting enough fluids in I have a constant full feeling ???? I've tried sleeping on my side with pillow and it's all good until I wake up with belly pain. Overall I feel good and am looking forward to this new life I've been given ????

Starting weight 282

Day of surgery 262

Weight on 6/4 235

Looking forward to this exciting journey with all of you brave people!

Things seem to be looking up. Still uncomfortable sleeping, but I can sort of sleep on my right side now, so that's an improvement! Mostly I'm just super tired. I wake up every day with the best of intentions to go out and walk, but I often end up feeling like I may pass out since I'm just so weak.

But I'm getting in between 1.5 and 2 liters of liquid a day, and according to Cronometer, I'm averaging 450 calories and 65g of Protein (I wanna see if I can get that up to like 80 though).

I'm definitely losing! A lot of it must be muscle from not moving much, but I can feel my clothes fitting differently. I was able to fit into some pants I haven't bothered trying for three years!

So, here are my current stats:

SW: 265

DS: 252

CW: 241

I can't complain ;)

Wow, congrats! You are doing great!

Thanks!

The first 2 days home I didn't loose anything, an I thought to myself.. I'm going to probably be 1 of the slow losers, but then it just starting falling off! I weigh every morning (I no it's crazy but I can't help it!) an number keeps dropping;)

I woke up today an it was dropped again to!

NSV - Slipped a shirt on I wouldn't wear a few weeks ago because it was tight. Fits lovely now :) :)

Hi All! Sleeved a week ago today. I've dropped 20 pounds since the start of my two week liquid diet.

I feel fine, but struggling with Protein. Tried different types of Proteins but all are resulting in lots of gas and loose bowels.

I try to avoid dairy so I did well straining a vegan pea Soup. I'm really wondering if it's the synthetic nature of the Protein mixes??

Staying hydrated, though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
