At the end of my rope...

Hi everyone! I have just decided this past week to pursue weight loss surgery (possibly the sleeve). I can't take hearing how pretty I would be if I lost weight another time. My final straw was lying to my husband..... He is taking me on a cruise for our anniversary... We were deciding on flying or driving. I lied to him... I told him I was scared of flying so we agreed We would drive to the port.... I can't take any of this anymore. I want a life of less fear and more LIVING. I just pray that I will qualify and not have any issues getting this done. I need help!!!

and men go threw it too. I saw myself as huge. everyone I deal with on a day to day basis and have worked with over the last 15 yrs never thought I weighed nearly what I did! ( I was always pretty big guy, mainly from working out allot) once my back gave out it went to crap. and I felt like a TUB. and now I fit in my jeans when I thought I was in the best shape of my life and I still see me loosing another 30-40 lbs. so its not just yall! I think its in our DNA?

My husband thinks I'm super woman lol. I think because he sees me doing so many other things constantly; he feels that there isn't anything I can't do. That's what he has said before anyway. I constantly juggle a chaotic life and he likes.... Chubby girls lol so to him I'm amazing!!

it is definitely the DNA lol. You guys are awesome joining this conversation! You are definitely keepers!

My pcp informed me Friday that she believes I should have the bypass instead of the sleeve. There seems to be a lot

Of people that have had success with the sleeve.... Now I'm confused on which one I should do.

My bariatric team discussed all of the options, pros and cons of each in a large group session then met individually with us at our next appointment to discuss our thoughts.

In my humble opinion, I would take the advice of the bariatric team, but do your own research to decide. I have had pcps for years who treated my thyroid issues but didn't go by the latest recommendations.

Which surgery you have is up to you and your surgeon. Bet of luck!!!

I'm glad I found people that understand!! My husband is in the military and is pretty fit. We took our children to an amusement park and we argued the whole time be use he was riding all the rides with them and I was just walking and watching.... He didn't understand that I couldn't ride the rides and I was too ashamed to tell him that was why I couldn't. If I get this surgery I will go to as many amusement parks as I can and ride every ride I can fit on!!

I may not have a husband to lie to but I do have friends who gawk over 6 flags every summer. I lie until I can't lie anymore. I said the same thing when I get the surgery I'm riding until I get sick lol
