A book?! A BOOK?! I'm sure it's a fabulous book, Alex, but please... May we have a 5 star, all-inclusive, all expenses paid trip to Cancun please?! You could throw in a free surgical procedure as well, if you'd like? I'm easy. :D <Oh the hilarity, if this post was the 'one'! Muahahaha>

Hahahahahahaha.....at a recent work off-site my now former boss told us if we filled his workshop he would take us to lunch. Let's just say the ROI on that didn't make much sense for anyone but him. One of my also now former colleagues said she would rather get a punch to the gut than a $15 lunch. At which point I burst out laughing....yeah...let's just say my decision to leave was mutual! Still burst out laughing.

Hi BariatricPal Members!

I have an exciting announcement to make. We are approaching our 3.5 millionth post! That’s right…pretty soon, BariatricPal members are going to be responsible for 3,500,000 posts! I can hardly believe that we are about to hit this milestone, and I thank you, the members, that are responsible for this accomplishment.

BariatricPal had its humble beginnings in July 2003 when I started LapBandTalk. I added VerticalSleeveTalk, RNYTalk, and SleevePlicationTalk and watched the communities grow as members gathered for support, encouragement, and friendships. By the time these original boards combined to form the single BariatricPal community, we had over 225,000 active members. In fact, BariatricPal is now the most trafficked weight loss surgery community on the internet!

This accomplishment would not be possible without such incredible member support and participation. To say “thank you” for what you do for this community and mark this impressive milestone, I am offering a prize to the poster who makes post number 3.5 million! This lucky member will receive a free copy of our soon-to-be released book entitled, “The Big Book on Bariatric Surgery: Living Your Best Life After Weight Loss Surgery.” The book has valuable strategies for losing weight and loving life after weight loss surgery.

The more you post, the better your chances of being poster number 3.5 million and winning the book.

Here’s to the next 3.5 million posts! attachicon.gifr-BEER-CHEERS-large570.jpg

if i win, you can keep the book alex.....i prefer a hot pink harley davidson..will that work

congrats on such a accomplishment on this forum.....i am honored to be part of it..

Alex because of this wonderful site I have met some of my best friends, thank you. We can all ask any questions and the outside world doesn't know them. I love that. People tell the truth and a lot of people hate the truth but then why ask if you don't want to know the truth that you all ready knew.

I miss some of the people that were here when I started almost 2 years ago but people move on, are busy in their lives and I guess they feel they don't need the extra help or 'the WLS family' anymore.

I don't write as often as I did but I try to read every day from others.

Thanks again ALEX!!! you're great.

Arlene

Am I the winner winner pureed chicken dinner? Oh well, even if I'm not I've gained enough (no pun intended) from all of the websites for many years past and many to come. Thank you Alex and CHEERS to the next many millions of posts.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
