Omg! My surgery is in 6 days and I think I'm getting sick!

I don't know why it is but I feel scratchy and sore in my throat all of the sudden this evening. That may not sound that bad to most people but my surgery is in 6 days. Also, when I get a throat cold it 80% of the time turns to strep throat. I need my body to be in full health and able to focus on healing after surgery. I have to got to my doctor tomorrow and demand an antibiotic. I do not want to postpone my surgery. Everything is set at work, childcare, the whole thing! Feeling frazzled and concerned.

It might be a virus. If so, an antibiotic won't help. I hope it doesn't postpone your surgery, but if that is what's best, you'll be OK.

I had something this past week.

It started Sunday night I started getting the sore throat along with stuffy nose and sneezing, But by Wednesday thing's started clearing up. The kids had it too, I think it's just the "Pre-Summer" Cold going around. Hope you feel better and that surgery goes well, Good Luck!

Thanks Ladies. I tripled up on vitamin C. I'm really praying it passes...

Be sure and let your surgeon know that you've been taking megadoses of vitamin C. Some studies have shown that acts as a blood thinner. Other studies have shown that it interferes with certain anti-clotting drugs.

Try and see if your primary doctor can be described something I had the same thing and my primary doctor prescribed me meds and I was all better in time for surgery it was the best $10.00 copay I ever paid good luck .
