I don't really ever post on here, but have been on here reading everything for months. Next month is my last visit and then hopefully I will get a surgery date soon. It gives me hope to read all of your wonderful stories, even the ones that aren't so positive. Because in all the posts I have read, even the ones where they is some negativity, it is usually followed by: still the best decision I have ever made. And this has kept me going thru all of the appointments and all of the hoops you have to jump through to be approved. No matter what happens in the next months, I know it will be worth it. Thank you all for giving me hope.

I'm getting my sleeve June 9 and I agree, the posts on here negative and positive , are always followed with, no regrets or the best choice I ever made , it makes me realize how important it is to feel good about yourself . And that great satisfaction of success far outweighs any small discomfort or problems along the way. The outcome is worth it!

Everyone's experience is unique, but I have to tell you that at 5 weeks out, it's been 100% easier than I thought. Seriously, if I didn't have 5 ugly incision marks on my belly, I would question if I even had the surgery yet! The first 48 hours post-surgery were brutal. By day 3 i felt back to normal. Yes, I have restriction and I love it! I haven't had one single problem I read about on this forum - no gas, no heartburn, no throwing up. My sleeve hasn't rejected anything. I hope you have an equally easy time!

I was sleeved May 9th and I'm the same way, my first 3 days was difficult only due to nausea other than that, no pain meds needed, no gas or heartburn, I haven't had any struggles I wish the same for all of the upcoming sleevers.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
