I am surprised so many of you take Flintstones Vitamins. My surgeon says these don't have all the vitamins we need. Just goes to show that surgeons have different opinions. I take 2 chewable bariatric Multivitamins a day. sublingual B12, Iron, and 2 calcium chews which are caramel flavored and delicious. I plan to stick with the Bariatric Advantage until I'm a year out even though they are more expensive. I am 7 months out now. My blood work is always good. I hope all of you are doing well and continue to do so on this exciting journey! God bless!

My surgeon gave me thr option of taking the bariatric advantage Vitamin or Flintstone Complete along with the B-12 Sublingal & The Chews w/ Vitamin D. He never mentioned the Flintstone Complete Vitamins were of anyway a miss.

It sure seems that different surgeons have very different Vitamin requirements. My surgeon told me to avoid any kind of Gummy Vitamin. I take a Centrum Silver multi twice daily, a B12 sublingual and a Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chew twice daily. My bloodwork last week was great. I seem to be getting just the right amount of everything I need.

I've been reading up on liquid Vitamins and the consensus seems to be that they are absorbed better by the body, but since I seem to be doing well with the chewables, I think I'll save myself the expense of liquid vitamins.

Yes my surgeon told ne NO GUMMY. Im gonna ask about liquid vitamins because obviously it's easier then the chewing lol. I seen liquid B-12 & ill ask my doctor is that okay

You need to take a high-potency daily Multivitamin and mineral supplement that contains a minimum of 18 mg of Iron, 400 mcg of folic acid, selenium, copper and zinc. Take 1,200 to 2,000 mg of Calcium daily. A total of 800 to 1,000 International Units (IUs) of Vitamin D each day and about 1000 mcg Vitamin B12 sublingual daily.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
