great to hear from you Janine! Play with that granddaughter!! She'll grow all tooo quickly and you'll wonder where the years went!

As for me... I just got back from 'Christmas' at my dads. All was well. Got to play with my newest lil nephews! One lil brother and his wife have a 1 1/2 year old and a 4 month old, and my lil sis has a 3 month old. Oh, it was such a joy for this Auntie!! I tried to steal them home with me, but the mommas caught me by the door. Lol.

My older brother, his wife and their 3 kids were all at home with the flu. I'll still get to see them next Sunday at my moms, so it'll be OK... They get to open their gifts then. They are the ones that are getting so grown up now. Oldest neice is 11 1/2, nephew is 9 1/2, and the 'baby' girl is 8 now. So yeah...

Well, I work in the morning, so goodnight all!!

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the compliments on the quilts. I don't make all of them, I just do the quilting on them for customers. I haven't updated the webshots in ages....too busy.

Java, nice to see you checking in.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Hahahaha

She knows I'm banded. Drove me to the hospital.

She's just like that. If I'm not on a diet, she'd never give me a choc but if I'm on one, she bombards me. Sick but she can't help it.

I guess my challenge is not that she gave them to me but what I'm going to do with them. I haven't thrown them out yet.

O2B - do you do that by hand or with a long-arm machine? I love quilting by hand but I now have Rheumatoid Arthritis so it does get difficult. I can't work for as long of a period as I used to. I also LOVE doing applique :) Yours are beautiful!

Insub - How much chocolate? !?! Yikes :D It sounds like your mom and my grandma are related. You mention that you are dieting and she makes EVERYTHING under the sun that you love and tries to feed it to you - and THEN gets cranky when you won't eat it!!!!! Oh well - it's her way of showing love. I just tell her now that I can't or I'll throw up and she leaves me alone:heh::heh: :):heh::heh:

I spent xmas on the boat this year once again. I think this is number 8 in a row, but anyway. The cook on here baked so much stuff and I think I ate just about 2or3 of everything he made. I am having a hard time keeping my weight down because of my line of work. I am currently looking for another job but it's going to be hard because all I have done since high school has been on boats. Anyhow I guess that’s my problem but I also think it contributing to me eating too much. Eating too much because of stress from eating too much. That kind of sucks!

Wombat I do it by machine, with my longarm, and charge by the square inch. I have handquilted my own stuff, but if I did it for other people, I'd charge by the hour and nobody in their right mind would pay me what I'd charge. My own passion is applique though.

CD it must be incredibly tough to have X-mas on a boat surrounded by great food. Sometimes weight loss means a life change too (I recently changed jobs and have booked a RTW trip for August). If you really are thinking of trying something new - do it! Didn't you say you had an 'off-season'? Try a new job then. There are plenty of things you can do.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
