Jaw Pain

I recently had my fifth fill. Ever since, whenever I eat, I get excruciating pain in my jaw. I spoke to my doctor's office today and they have never heard of a connection between fills and jaw pain. Has anyone else experienced this?

Never! I've never seen anyone post jaw pain here before?

Is it the lower jaw or upper jaw? Is it near the TMJ? Could be you're chewing so much your muscles are fatigued or you have some TMJ issues?

I went to my primary care doctor today. He diagnosed me with TMJ. My jaw has clicked, when I open it wide, for years, but I have never had any pain. All the chewing has aggravated it. On a liquid diet for 5 days with an anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant to see if it will calm down.

Sending sympathies as I know how painful TMJ can be. I had this some years ago and it didn't come back, thank goodness. Best wishes to you and the five days on liquids will probably be good for other things, too.
